Some action is better than none I guess. Pretty sad time of year down here in Texas. It's starting to warm up some and the big gizzards have moved out of the creeks. Good bait's gonna be tough till the bluegills start biting. It'll be carp mostly till then. Oh well,keep hitting them Justin and good luck!

Justin, I apologize if you’ve already answered this, why do you use a Carolina rig when anchored? I know without the current you don’t need the knocker rig, but it seems more trouble to tie the Carolina unless there’s some advantage. Thanks for putting out these videos and sharing your knowledge!
@KayakCatfish5 жыл бұрын
My main reason for using a knocker rig while drifting or trolling is due to the wind. I was having a hard time controlling my depth on the windy days. The knocker rig with a heavy sinker solved that problem. When anchored, the wind is not a factor at all so I don’t really need the knocker rig. Both the Carolina rig and knocker rig would work well while anchored though. Either one would be fine to use.

Great video as always . How deep you normally fishing this time of year
@KayakCatfish5 жыл бұрын
It really just depends on the location but usually somewhere between 30-60 feet. The shallows can be a great place to catch fish in the winter especially on sunny days but you have to sort through a ton of small fish to catch any of decent size. I usually look for the closest deep structure nearest to where I see the shad and birds
