24hrs of fun! We went down the beach to catch some fresh bait to use for flathead fishing. This video shows tips on catching pipes for bait which turned out to be amazing on flathead!
Unfortunately, before leaving for fishing my dog had gotten into my soft-plastics and eaten about 7 packets! Straight to the vet for him!
Despite this we had a great day on the river catching a huge flathead and got some nice blue swimmer crabs! this and much more fun as usual!

Gday mate nice fishing for tat heads love em ay I use lures the atomic muddy prawn it will catch 5 species three different sizes too Good blues too I did pro Spanner crabbing in Maroochydore in the 80s With Kong and prawns too Looks like Yamba area my dad lived there and sis too Rod Dahlberg knows me well surfed for him and Nat his sons do u know Doug Brown if ya live there Awesome place and Iluka Great vid did the tat head correctly I go a little further into the head more meat lol Cheers 🍻 CrouchOz

Here in the USA a flathead is a variety of catfish. What is that you all are calling flatheads?

Hey mate, they are actually just called flatheads here. They come as a “dusky flathead” or “blue spot flathead” or “tiger flathead” we also have catfish this is a different species altogether

Fish are the hardest! Every country and every state in each country call them something different. The same fish and so many names, have a great day 👍
