Suggestion for cooking all squash and sweet potatoes. Cut in half and bake in the oven, seeds removed. Scoop all the insides into a big mixing bowl and mash. Add your desired amount of butter [or Smart Choice marg], salt and pepper. Add brown sugar (or honey) to taste (use a good quantity!) and again to taste, cinnamon, mixing well. This recipe for mashed squash/sweet potatoes is mouth watering!

Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

Make sure to use headlamps that have a red light on it so you don't scare them. You can also use green lights to attract them to the area. The shrimp can't see the red light but when you shine it on them, you'll be able to see their eyeballs without scaring them away. I usually use a gas lantern and keep it near the water when shrimping. The shrimp will run north for the colder waters when it starts to get warmer down here. I have an amazing spot up here that I fish at and catch plenty of shrimp at. I've caught shrimp twice the size of those up here. Take a trip up here to Melbourne and I'll go shrimping one night with you guys. Amazing video Brooke and Viktor. Can't wait for more videos to come in the near future.

Hey Brook, I let you in on a secret. The best part of the prawn is the head...YES the HEAD!! Blanch the whole prawn in salted water with ginger and pull back the head and slurp the brain and guts....so so tasty. Then dip the body in a sesame, soya sauce and a (little brown sugar optional)....try it you'll love it...taste the ocean 😋😋😋

The reason some are white and others pink is shrimp species Florida has... From FWC site *** The majority of shrimp harvested for food in Florida belong to the shrimp family Penaeidae. The pink shrimp (Farfantepenaeus duorarum) is the most abundant shrimp species harvested in the state. This species generally lives in clear waters, especially in the area from west-central to southeast Florida. The two other species are the brown shrimp (Farfantepenaeus aztecus) and the white shrimp (Litopenaeus setiferus). The brown shrimp is closely related to the pink shrimp, but the brown shrimp is found in murkier and often deeper water. The brown shrimp is caught mostly in northeast and northwest Florida. The white shrimp is also caught principally in northeast and northwest Florida, but it is generally found in waters that are muddier, shallower, and less salty than waters where pink shrimp and brown shrimp live.***

For Diabetics you can use dark Monk-fruit rather than brown sugar . It’s a one to one ratio. Admittedly not sugar but still good . On butternut squash it will work great . Only downer it’s 3 times the cost as sugar 😁

@@brookcristoutdoors in my opinion shrimp are better but smelt are small easy to clean and cook you can eat them bones and all and not really know it take off the head slice the belly and a quick scrape and your done, just like shrimp you fry'em or freeze'em. The whole process has it's simularities you net smelt in late fall off the banks late evening into the night with lanterns or spot lights haven't been out since I was a kid good family and friends memories.
