What a great catch! This is an excellent example of how to fish and release a prey. I also like the idea of having a rope at stern to tow another kayak. Nice video and very well edited. Congratulations mate!

Would it be possible to revive the marlin by pulling and pushing him backwards and forwards? It's like instead of a continuous steam of water through his gills, it becomes gulps of them? I've got a feeling the Marlin merely needed to clear it's system of CO2 and restock on some glucose and would probably be okay with just a tiny bit of assistance.
@jordanvoglsinger205810 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is possible.. You could also use a deck hose on a boat just stick it in it's mouth but that's if you want to keep it out of the water longer for pictures and stuff

why did you want to catch the marlin in the first place?What's the purpose?How did marlin bite you?
@isizinyo10 жыл бұрын
Catching a marlin is difficult and a challenge. Much like climbing a mountain or running a marathon in under 3.5hours.Catching a marlin or any big fish from kayak is a challenge. I was holding onto the marlin whilst my mate towing us along so we revive the marlin. Fishy CPR if you wish. It lunged forward as it was get it's strength back and bit me it the process.

@sampsonnite14309 жыл бұрын
In order not to be speared when the Marlin gets to your kayak, you have to fight him to exhaustion, which is deadly to a Marlin. That was one of the most exhausted Marlin's I have seen boat side. You should be ashamed for killing a beautiful game fish for the sake of being noticed. Just because you think he swam away doesn't mean he did. That makes an easy meal for a shark.
@thefruithunter26729 жыл бұрын
there's a reason it's called a game fish. because it's a fish caught for sport.
@jordanvoglsinger2808 жыл бұрын
