Great video, the sad thing is 50 years ago, those were all large mouth bass, i was told a long time ago, that there was an advantage for Peacock bass over Large mouth in their early stages of life, i forget what that was but, it looks like it was true ! I guess much like the Python now in the Everglades and, what it has done.
@kevinstocks65933 жыл бұрын
Peacock bass are much more aggressive than largemouth, also peacocks spawn twice a year, around March and again in October. Thats probably their main advantage.

Looks like fun but I really hate going places where I can be the hunted. I’m interested in a pedal kayak, would you recommend the Old Town and what length is yours?
@riverpirate10223 жыл бұрын
I have the same kayak, just bought 2 months ago. Pedaling is a LOT harder than you expect it to be. This is a good kayak, but if you are really heavy, bring a lot of gear, or unsteady on narrow boats like these, or want to add a rear drive trolling motor later, you're better off with a Nucanoe. Nucanoe is wider, way more stable, much higher weight capacity, higher 360 rotating seat, and built for rear or front trolling motors, and has an add-on pedal drive option. But they do cost more than the OT 120 PDL with the pedal drive. I wish I had done the Nucanoe in hindsight, but I will live with my 120 PDL for a season or two and see how I feel later. After spending over $2k I'm not about to sell it yet and take a loss before I get some real good use out of it.

They should rename Florida into Invasive species dumping grounds lol. You are brave (or something) fishing from a tiny low kayak in Alligator infested waters! You do know they can come right up into your little kayak, or flip it, or just bite you or your gear from the water in that thing right? Your crazy man lol.
