"That was a bigger fish than the last one", isn't that something all fishermen say about the ones that get away? The difference is there's plenty of video evidence of hooking and landing very large NZ Browns before and after that instantly lends 100% credibility to the statement. Agree with some others posting comments, I've been watching and enjoying your videos over the past several seasons and you've obviously learned and improved a great deal. It's showing up in the high quality of these latest offerings.

Thanks for sharing an awesome video. Just got back from fishing that river a few days ago. My favorite river in all of NZ. Lost my cell phone so spent three days looking for it, instead of fishing, but the scenery almost made up for the lost days of fishing. Pack raft was an awesome idea for that river. Great job

Hi Gareth, beautiful water and trophy trout to boot. Nice bit of footage well edited. You are doing better then we did last week in Turangi. The T was running over 51cum/s and will continue whilst the engineers work on the upper dam. Rivers were too warm to hold any fish and saw the TT carpark with no cars! River mouth fishing can sure get boring at times like this! Cheers mate. Harera
