You are literally the only person I follow who reviews/swatches/compares as comprehensively as I’d like, probably because you set that high standard! I’m a Leo, and while I agree that it technically fits a firey color story, I hate it. I actually didn’t get any of the fire sign palettes. I got Capricorn, Libra, Cancer, and Virgo.

I'm so glad you said that about the Sagittarius palette! I'm a fellow Sagittarian and I was also pretty disappointed with it. The whole fire sign set felt pretty one-note and on the nose to me. I completely agree that it needed some purple! Oh well, at least my rising sign Cancer had a palette that was a little more interesting 😂

I'm a libra, and the libra palette is basically me in eyeshadow palette form, haha. I use these kind of colors in my everyday makeup all of the time. Pink toned neutrals make my green eyes pop! The Capricorn palette is calling my name, too. Cool-toned neutral eyeshadow palettes aren't nearly as common as warm-toned palettes, so they always catch my eye when I see them. It looks like a beautiful neutral palette for Winter.

Totally with you on the Capricorn, I'm literally hunting down cool-toned neutrals whenever I see them lol. They are really few and far between on the market so for that alone the "boring" Capricorn is one of my favourites of this release. ^.^

The Y2K collection makes my heart sing. I turned 21 in the year 2000. I was working in Sydney, and there was so much buzz because of the Olympics. Actually that whole year, starting from the NYE of 99, was incredible. Lots of body crystals, powder blue eyeshadow (moving away from the browns of the mid-90’s), boob tubes, glitter on everything (nailed, eyes),and butterfly clips. So much fun.

I agree with you about the fire sign quads, they're all just so orange and one note. My favourites are the earth signs, love that Capricorn is cool toned, Virgo's pinky-mauvy tones are my jam and Taurus is the most interesting colour story of all of them. I also like Cancer, the purple-y duochrome shades are really pretty. I'm a Scorpio and I'm not mad at it but I have those shades already. Thanks for the mega video, CP is not letting anyone rest with their releases. :))

Colourpop could do a five pan or nine pan of ALL multichromes and call it something like the treasure chest or bejeweled or something, idk. But a multichrome heavy launch would take OFF. Their prices have already been inching upwards anyway, we might as well get something cool out of it instead of the same recycled colors and scratchy glitters. Realistically they'd probably want to put out quads or five pans with one or two multichromes per item just to sell more, but in my perfect world it's all in one so it's less wasteful and people can buy just what they want instead of a bunch of extra shades they don't care about.

I'm a Sagittarius too, and I felt the same. It just needed something more. I did purchase the Scorpio palette (which I was using to partially get vibes from the Natasha Denona midi retro palette that I love the look of but can't afford) but I didn't know about the eye-safe pigment issue so I'm really glad you mentioned that. I also got the in the saddle super shock shade. I've never purchased from colour pop before so I'm really excited about my order. I also ordered super shock shadows in Bill, Sequin, and Empire and well as two pencil gel liners. Thanks for such a great video!

I have been loving the quads from Colourpop and bought them all. I can usually squeak in 20min in the morning to do my makeup. These quads take the guess work out of what to put on my eyes.

I was happy with my sign’s palette-Pisces I the sky. Fun colors that I didn’t really have in my collection already but some of the signs’ palettes were less interesting. I also got the Glitch palette because I thought the color story was really fun and different than other items we’ve seen. Glad to see you saying the same in this video. Bummer about the blush quads. I just ordered a previously released one so hoping it’s better.

Low Rise is absolutely one of my all time favorite super shocks! Gorgeous lilac with a gold reflect. I just wish it was a satin and not a glitter finish, but still beautiful!

I personally think if they were going to do this they should have tied the birthstone color scheme to the pallet story. I'm an Aries-March-Aquamarine and my pallet looks peach to me. I also think this should have rolled out in the beginning of the new year. Not in the fall... but what do I know 😆 I agree they should have added some other fun things to the collection like matching earrings from an ETSY collab (hint, hint) I would love an Aquamarine pallet with matching Aquamarine/Aries color's and positive upcoming new year Arien vibes. Something that makes me want to flaunt my look 😆

I'd absolutely forgotten the cheek and eye quads had happened XD I bet the still loading highlighter would look awesome with the night bloom blush. I'd be more into the astrology quads if they were cardboard quads instead of plastic quads. I'm a taurus, and while I do like the greens they chose I'm a big green shadow lover so I can dupe the colors with my colourpop shadows alone, let alone my entire collection! I'd have loved it more if the'd done rose mattes instead of browns, and the greens more sage than emeralds, a bit more sultry than poppy. I think taurus is more though of as tthe safe and stubborn sign ignoring our planet is venus, the planet of sensuality, and that taurus is the ultimate luxury lover. I have opinions!

100% agree about the Sagittarius quad! And they’re known as a mutable sign, so if any sign should have serious duochromes, it would be Sagittarius. I think the direction Kathleen Lights went with her zodiac collab was much more on point

I purchased theThe Bold in the Aries palette just yesterday. This one caught my eye in this video as well, so I feel like I made the right choice. So, thanks for posting these. My sign is Taurus and I think it’s a pretty palette, but I do not think it will flatter me. I do like the Leo and the Scorpio palettes, though. They are now in my cart waiting for me to talk myself out of it. The swatches here and the closeups are so much easier to see on these videos as compared to the website.

Aries should have for sure had a khaki green in there somewhere, Cancer needed a pink, Gemini and Taurus are honestly my favorite colourscheme, Scorpio needed to be waaayy darker, Capricorn is straight up boring, Leo definitely needed a pure gold shimmer, and I also think the fire palettes just look way too alike if you put em next to each other.

I just bought pisces, cancer, Virgo and saggitarius tonight! I came very close to getting Leo and Scorpio, but had to put the brakes on some where especially bc I also just bought the tinkerbell supershocj shadow set too. Colourpop is killing my wallet but it makes me so happy. (I'm most excited about the duo chromes in the zodiac palettes) I absolutely love quads and small, well curated palettes that are interesting, cohesive and blend well together. The only disappoint about the zodiac palettes for me are I REALLY wish they used their normal cardboard packaging and made them look like the cute outer packaging box that they come in. I'm not a fan of the plastic packaging at all, I almost passed up on even buying any just bc I hate the plastic boring palettes they come in, but then I saw the shimmer and duo chromes and couldn't resist. I will just have to keep these quads in their outer box, especially bc I like having the zodiac signs showing and as a palette collector that's a big deal for me, I haaate plastic packaged shadows. Please stop with the plastic colourpop!

I got the It's a Glitch pallet from the y2k collection and love it on its own and as a companion to the Aura and Out and In a Trance and Lilac You a Lot. I was surprised that the colors in the Cancer zodiac quad are actually really pretty, thrilled to see a light-in-value duochrome, and am considering picking it up. Yeah there's no possible way you could keep up with Colourpop in greater depth than you already are. That's crazy talk.

The Cancer and Scorpio palettes are awesome...I'm an Aquarius 😑 we ALWAYS get blue. I think we should have had a duochrome for Aquarius. I would have a turquoise/brick duochrome, a purple/lavender duochrome, a matte periwinkle and a matte greige

Since there was a sale I picked up the Y2K butterfly clips (still have all of mine from the 90s-'00s), these little clips are good for clipping strays back while doing face routines, I usually only wear headbands out. I also got the super shock shadows trio of course & both highlighters, passed on the shadow palettes, also passed on lip duo for now, maybe will get later (also got the green tinkerbell supsershock, pink tink lip stain, blossom hair clips, & hello kitty priced to go lip scrub in that order). All the other releases are no real interest to me.
