What a quality guy. I remember surfing Scottburgh and he and Roscoe paddled into the line-up. He shows people so much respect ! I didn't expect that from a guy with ten times the ability. Great way to live by keeping it as simple and close to nature as possible. Huge respect for this guy and may he and his family always be blessed.

Hi First of all I’d just like to say what a well put together piece of work this is. Frankie was a bit of a legend to so many people growing up in SA around those times. He lived the dream but remained a very humble human being. Was lucky enough to meet the man himself a few years ago in Morocco and what a privilege that was. Please Red Bull make this into a feature length film. It’s what the people want Regards

never forget when I was a little turd trying to surf over 25 yrs ago, the one day a nice wave came along (best of the day). It was my turn to take the wave and when I recognised Frank ( the legend) next in line I flapped as I wanted him to talk it. He encouraged me to take it and I did. A nice guy thru and thru. I messed it up and fell off the dam thing tho!

Frankie + Peter Daniels, I remember Frankie having the most beautiful boards, Surf Toy days. There was an independent VHS Video released at that time (1994?) in SA with Curren + Frankie surfing at Jbay on the Search, filmed by some guy - not a Rip Curl release, probably was a well known SA photog, I can't remember who it was. Insane footage, all I remember is the bottom turns were mental, the finest ever seen , wonder if anyone still has a copy around, upload it to KZbin please!!! 👍👍
