Thank you for what you do, Sir. You're helping farm owners get rid of those pests and help people in need of food as well. I don't think we'll have this kind of problem here in my country, i mean those feral hogs. Right now there's a scarcity of pig and chicken meat here, and i think people would be eager to catch any feral pig if there'd be any. Good luck on what you do and more power to you! Stay safe and God bless!!

Nice work as usual! Question: Is there a good rule of thumb for the amount of time permissible between knocking them in the head and actual processing them, assuming no refrigeration? Thanks
@paulcallicoat75972 жыл бұрын
ASAP. Get the body heat down and getting them out of the heat or they will start to spoil in only a few hours. Gut bacteria doesn't die when the animal does so it eats what ever and the animal will start to swell. Being dead the animal can't fart.
@markmonse52852 жыл бұрын
@@paulcallicoat7597 I assumed that, I was just trying to figure out how long a "few" hours consisted of.
@TheCaptainbeefylog2 жыл бұрын
Sooner is better than later. If you only have a couple of small ones, then slap them in tubs of ice and you can have up to 6 hours to get them to a processor of butcher. Unrefrigerated, 2-3 hours after death. Less if it's hot.
