What u said about getting out of bed because ur cat was pressuring u was so funny but so true!!! Something about having responsibility for something other than urself really gets u out of ur own head and (for me anyway) helps distract and ultimately gets me out of depressive episodes. We are always pressured by society and people around us to be at our best, to be happy and chirpy all the time and have exciting things going on every day of our lives. I couldn't help but laugh at the throw up! My cats recently broke their litter box so I decided to try a different style for their new one and needless to say, one of my cats hates it. In protest he's decided to poop and pee all over my brand new white shag rug...MULTIPLE TIMES! Working on getting him used to the new litter box and putting a stop the newly formed bad habit. It's good to sometimes stop and laugh at the frustrating things in life, doesn't make them seem so big.

Hope it went well with your final crit. :) This semester is my last one in college and so I had to do a research paper. The professor saw something in me and looked forward what I come up with. Mentally-wise and coincidentally this semester had been the toughest ever. Plus pressure & my own expectations.Though I looked for it all four years, I didn't feel good about myself doing it in the three months because the timeline was out of my hand and the course limits me to stick to certain things and I feel I half-assed so much bc of my mental health. When I had to send it and present it, I was terrified. Terrified because I don't think I lived up to their expectations. The assessing professor loved it and encouraged me to publish it once again. I was so proud then, but I'll never forget how deeply un-proud I was up till then. Hope you ended up with a better look at of all what you worked hard for & that's what matters sometimes, not the end-result.

casually scooping vomit up is such a cat mom mood. my little guy had a series of health issues that resulted in him associating the litter box with trauma, and now he no longer uses it to poop. it's been nearly three years and I tried to "fix" it at first but now it's just a part of life. they give you so much love and purpose, as long as they have their health, the minor inconveniences are no big deal. and completely unrelated to that, I've had 'something to believe' by weyes blood stuck in my head all day. that song is so relatable and so beautiful. I want it engraved across my memory.

@@cathyogata1311 I can guarantee you, if literature exists on the topic, I have read it and tried what they suggest haha. As well as consulting a few different vets. The only thing I haven't tried (and won't) is putting him on meds, because in this circumstance, the benefits don't outweigh the consequences. As long as he's happy and healthy, it's no big deal to me.
