This song means a lot to me. Over the years, my insecurities have amplified into something I never thought would happen to me. I barely leave my house because of my weight and tell myself I will "live life" once I look a certain way. It's hard because my body has become filled with acne, my once clear skin is now filled with texture and blackheads and pimples, and I was diagnosed with something that makes it even harder to lose weight and the only way I can is by eating very clean. I see people around me who don't have t worry about their appearance this way, and that makes me feel worse too. But when I am alone in my bed at night, I know that my body is a vessel to live this one life I have, and I should be grateful everything is working properly. I know that what matters is your soul and what you do with your time on earth, but then I can't help how I feel when I try on clothes or look in the mirror. I feel uncomfortable and it's an ongoing battle.
