I always steer it while imagining it's exactly one truck length ahead of its actual position. Never had an issue with the sluggish steering then. It's such a pity it does not have AWD, because it's a fantastic fun looking behemoth. With the fuel tank, it's the only truck that I've found that went directly through the 'devil's mud' pit in Alaska that we all Spiderman winch around to avoid. 😅

With AWD it would be incredible. The devils mud lol. Oh man that place. I have seen a lot of trucks actually get through that, however Reading that you got through it with this truck, put a huge smile on my face

Ohh I know that pit, I’ve done it quite easily since the first time I did it. Best solution is to bring a heavy truck and a regular truck, and another heavy, and another heavy, and an ultra heavy, and another ultra heavy. Then decided to skull drag about 20 flatbed trailers through the bog to make a bridge

I can't tell if this potential beast was cut back due to licensing, or Sabre somehow thought giving this thing more utility would make it too strong. In the end, it's only purpose after the mission is to be a fuel tender, but the Tatra Force, Tatra Phoenix, Azov 73210 and Pacific P12 can all carry the same amount of fuel, making it basically worthless. What a shame.

Indeed you are right, also the 5600TS carries more fuel then them all as well. Im not sure what the devs were thinking on this one. I wish it had a dump truck bed or something. As a fuel tanker though in a hardmode chronological playthrough; It can be of use.. somewhat lol

@@NProvince and even then, you have way more capable options accessible earlier that you can use for your fuel truck. It is a pity, and even more so that CAT doesn't allow console mods for their trucks.

The 770g has a real life ramped flatbed and a dump truck addon, if the devs or modders decide to implement it in the game it would greatly improve the use of the vehicle

I am not sure if it’s still there, but there was a heavy saddle trailer pak mod for this truck in the mod browser. This was on the PS4.

I was actually looking forward to this truck when I saw the leaks and the trailers but when I drove it for the first time on the PTS it was a big downfall it's quite a bad truck. Too big to be a rescue truck, no add-on except for the fuel tank and no AWD. If I'm not mistaking it has the biggest fuel tank add-on and the truck itself has the biggest fuel tank in the game so the best use I got was a mobile gas station. I tried it as a rescue truck once and I regretted my life choices. Front end damage, got stuck on the hills and tbe steering feels like old M916A1 steering it's absolutely horrible. They should have given it at least a high saddle so it's actually usefull because it's wide and can resist the big, top heavy trailers very well but no. The 745C is so much easier to use and much more practical and that thing isn't known for it's versatility. Generally a very disappointing truck. Great review nevertheless 👍

The only time I used this truck was to pull the rock trailers. I didn't even drive it. I just had it winched behind my Azov 7.

Great review !! I don't know if is because the Cat's are so huge and look so awesome but I get deeply disappointed once I use them. Like the 745C all fun & rainbows until you touch a bit of water and get engine damage .. again and again -.-

Water is the kryptonite of some beasts in Snowrunner, like the Tuz 420 tatarin and the CAT 745C.

I never get water damage in 745C ,it's so tall! Perhaps i still have to try it in the dlc maps

They should of just made it's rock trailer buyable at the trailer store but emptied out. Gaskell games has a trailer pack mod with exactly that. Made its rock trailer into a 4 slot trailer. Works great. Truck is decent outside of steep slopes/angles.

This truck would be way more useful if the devs adds a snorkel, the ability to hitch trailers and a normal saddle high. It could basically be a bigger and stronger P16. Well, It differs from real life, yes, but I personally think it would be very interesting. And thx for another great video, Nathan!

Various companies design and manufacture machine's that originally have a single purpose for. But the purchaser's, having limited fund's will purchase one which when using their inginuity, can utilize it in multiple ways other than it was originally designed for. A rather assine example would be, If I purchase a cigarette ligher, I might utilize it to light the stove when the pilot light is out. Becasue I don't have a lighter desiged to do that.

I really hate how they implemented it, not only giving it just a single mission, but also basically mandating a route it struggles with in that mission. While the swamp is manageable, the icy hill without the option for chained tires is just not fun.

Still crazy to me the CAR745C and 770G has the #2 engine in the game. Somethings in Smithville for example, if a guy has a log mission started I'll grab a load of medium logs with the CAT and instead of going up the twisty boring mountain road (if I'm headed to Drummond Island) I'll instead go in past the oil drilling site, cross the river and go up that steep dirt hill. And a number of times I'd have to resort to the winch as the CAT would just run out of power and stop moving. Funny thing is when it came out people called the Forester underpowered, but usually going the same route as the CAT, I can get the Forester to climb that hill with not just 1 load of logs on it's back, but also with a trailer behind it. Sure you got to wiggle the nose back and forth to keep the wheels turning, and if you hit a bad line you will spin out and get stuck. But at least it doesn't just run out of power. The CAT it doesn't matter if you wiggle the nose, use medium low, etc. Once it's far enough up the hill to where it wants to give up, that's it, it's just out. I always thought it'd be nice to have like 300k torque engine for all the super heavy vehicles. P16, P12, CAT745C, CAT770G, etc. Call it the Westline V20. I dunno if the Russian top engine is 300K or not, but if not give them one to. I low the cabover KOLOB, but I won't deny it could use a power boost. Then add in the other KOLOB and maybe the 605. All the Azov's, Americian semi's, stuff like that are fine. Not every heavy class vehicle needs a buff, just the super heavy vehicles could do with a more onf.

Something's not right there JL, possibly you're not using the top engine(?). The 745C can storm up there for sure with 1x Logs and no winch.

I definitely see what you mean. You could be using a wrong engine, but also the 745C only acts right with Diff Lock engaged. Outside of Low Gears its not anything special. It would be nice to have that huge power you speak of, but then again we know Saber isnt gonna go that far for sure.

yoo another fire video!definitely great and hard work you put in your content , it's been 1 day and you already uploaded! well this truck is again a unique and different vehicle than the other regular truck but unfortunately lacking some features.. it's steering is and feels weird like you said in the review , haves a few add-ons and very big fuel consumption.at one point when i was testing it i had , ahem , a little accident and i almost broke it's engine and with an almost broke engine the consumption rises and it did from an average 30l to 50l but the good news is that it haves the biggest tires and ofc if there are big tires there is a very good mud/snow performance , in fact ir rarely gets stuck in mud/snow , rocks are its counter and the huge fuel tank plus a huge fuel carrier.the truck haves somewhat of a fuel truck use but due to it's slowness and struggle on rocks no one uses it for that and it is really easy to get , the task can be finished really quick.

it's sad bc i absolutely could not wait to drive this truck when i was wrapping up in the yukon. since then, i just sold it bc the 745c does everything this can do better. i guess you could argue that this has better fuel capacity but the 745c is one of my favorite trucks in the game and i always whip it out if i need to flip something back onto its wheels. i loved driving this thing but i haven't used it for anything outside of its intended use and occasional refueling. just sold my p16 too, that one was a really hard goodbye
