Congratulations on getting it running. That should make a nice power unit for the shovel. It looks like you have enough equipment to have a show at your house.

Another superb outcome. The displaced Buda will no doubt have a use, even if it is a temporary unit if something else needs an overhaul, or to test the rest of a machine which has come without an engine. I don't dislike industrial/plant gas engines, but I much prefer diesels.
@73DiamondReo Жыл бұрын
Id like to do some testing on the buda to see how sick it actually is. cat power sure is nice in one of these shovels though. the 15b is a power house and is pretty quick

Awesome 73DR! So cool yer making the efforts to keep this old gear operational! I am a 50 scale collector and when I watch this stuff I wanna advance to full scale! TOO COOL! Not many rope machines here in Cali and mainly Cats as far as vintage so I really dig it when ya post!

Love to see first starts of old Cats. There will probably be an ancient Cat relic found and started 1,000 years from now. (If the human race survives and hasn't forgotten how to make diesel fuel)

Good job Frank. The bleeder wrench you need, is it an L shaped handle?
@73DiamondReo Жыл бұрын
thanks. the bleeders are like a 3/8 oval behind the injector lines. im not even positive you need one because bleeding from the lines only seemed to work just fine.
@ScrappyIndustries Жыл бұрын
@@73DiamondReo the only advantage to the bleeder wrench is it’s before the delivery valves. The only time I’ve ever seen it matter is on the bay city you cannot get it to prime at the nuts
