These 20 plus minute videos are better than any 1/2 hour show going on network television. You guys are just super cool. Debi and I always tell each other if one of us finds you've posted a new video so we can watch it together. You're a young couple discovering the joys of life and we're an old couple reliving those joys through you. Thank you for all you do.

Years ago an ex brother-in law and I would go to Lake Livingston before daylight, and dump a trail of cattle creep feed where a creek met the lake. We would go away for about an hour, tie up with a bicycle inner tube and rope to a standing tree then mop up on the catfish with cut bait and shad fishing right above the the creep feed. Never tried noodles back then, but it was about 30 years ago.

I love fishing, but the canoeing alone would have been reason enough to watch this video! It looks so enjoyable to be out on the water like that. Appreciated your demonstrations of how to fish those noodles, how to clean the catfish, and how to prepare it! You two ROCK! I was grateful to watch this, particularly today. It was a tough day for my Dad, who I take care of. Your video took the bite off the edges of my day. I continue to enjoy watching you as you share your adventures, Cole and Jessica. God bless and prosper you both!

Seems super fun.I never think of this before.good idea you guys look like the TV show swamp people when Jay was pulling on the line was waiting for a big alligator to show itself, but nice vedio and I never tryed that beer batter next time I go at bass pro going to pick some up and try it, love the knife i,m sure it would work great on the striped bass . OK my friends until the next one .keep casting
@COLE_and_JAY4 жыл бұрын
The knife I was using is an American Angler electric knife. It's pretty good, but my favorite right now is the Mister Twister Pirahna with the 9" blade. They have a lot of power and are cheap to buy! The motors on them do not last forever thoough. I get about two years out of each one, but I still think they are worth it!
@mauricehebert28394 жыл бұрын
@@COLE_and_JAY thanks bud.will sure try it. As you know 24 inch striped bass isn't to bad to cut.but those 34 inches plus it gets tough. I,m sure with a electric knife it will cut good just like a saw. Thanks

Back in the day when I fished for catfish, I did limb fishing and trotlines. I always caught plenty of cats. My dad taught me how to fish. The old-timers knew how to fish. Back then we did not have pool noodles. I like that idea. Since then, I have given my gear away to a young man who lived on a lake but had no gear to catch fish with. My lake of choice was Caddo Lake in East Texas.

I really do like watching your videos, which I'm sure are very instructive for many people. However, being 71 years old and fishing. Most all of my life since I was able to walk (LOL almost true) I have already seen most every method of fishing and I have even designed a few of my own, especially catching Shad at the lock and dam on the Savannah River, just outside of Augusta, Georgia. I would like to make one suggestion on your noodle fishing that you should equip a flag on one end of the noodle and attach your line in such a way through the center, through the opposite end of the flag, so that when you have a strike the flag will be hoisted. But I guess the best thing about your videos is that you do them together as husband and wife/a team. And one last thing. One of the best catfish I have ever eaten was when I was camping one weekend in between work at Eagle Mountain Lake, northwest of Fort Worth, Texas, and slow cooked a catfish over the campfire until the meat started to slide off of the bones to where it just melted in my mouth. Even though I had no seasoning, It was the best catfish I had ever eaten. on another note, It would be best to have the bait below the weight so you don't have it right up next to a Tight line.

I use a pool hoodie with a piece of 1/2 in pvc pipe run thru the noodle. a pvc cap on one end, then a pvc " T" on the other. Run the line thru the T with the weight and hook on the line. You will know when you catch a fish the noodle will stand straight up.
