He wouldn't notice the difference in accent. I lived in Africa for awhile and one of the local girls was contacting a man who was quite local and was coming to see her. He said he was from Kenya but grew up in Boston so he was going to come and meet her. Another teacher and I said "Let us meet him, we'll tell you if he grew up in Boston." (BOSTON of all places LOL where any Canadian/American English speaker could pinpoint the accent, it's so distinct so he picked a good city!) We met him, too (group 'date') and ran with it. Talking about all the "landmarks" in Boston (neither of us have been there LOL) and he knew all of the cafes and landmarks we could make up and most obvious...he did NOT speak like a Bostonian. So this guy wouldn't know an Irish from an American from a Russian accent.

@@Sandeep_In_America That's not true at all. Senior women are a scammer's favourite prey. Often the women are widows or coming out of a bad marriage, others are even still married. The scammers make them feel flattered that such a young, handsome man calls them beautiful, wants to marry them etc. They prey on elderly because a lot of them have their own homes (which many sell to send them the money), they have kids they can borrow from, they have retirement funds and such. I'm sure there are many examples but even look up Dr. Phil Catfish on youtube and they will show clips of women who have sent hundreds of thousands to men who don't exist.

This very same thing has been happening to my mom for over a year now. The video/picture the scammer is using is the same one he used on my mom. When I tracked the guys IP address and showed her he was in Ghana not Afghanistan like he claimed. She said “oh, it must be a mistake”. Thank you guys so so much for bringing this to people's attention who might not know about these people targeting dating apps! I have experienced scammers on dating apps multiple times but have luckily never fallen for their scammes or given them any kind of personal information. I have actually done things similar to you guys minutes the recording it and posting a video. I like to play dumb though and waste their time and have even created fake accounts to catfish them and waste their time some more pretending to be a new "victim" and even multiple victims so that they waste their time talking to me and aren't able to use that time scamming other more vulnerable people who might fall for their tricks. It's kind of a hobby of mine but I never thought of taking it as far as you guys do and recording and posting it to KZbin because it seems dangerous to me and I don't know enough about protecting myself against them if they were somehow able to hack my phone or something. Thank you guys for what you do! This scammer was the absolute rudest one yet! So pushy and demanding. Not even a good romance scammer! I encountered two yesterday and chatted with them a bit. A few times I've had these scammers try to scam me..I told them I sent the money to them.when they checked nothing wasn't there.they told me no money is at western union..I told them I know because I know they are scammers and I didn't send any money.they kept swearing that they weren't a scammer..I cursed them in my local Barbadian dialect.they were like what language is that?I don't understand.i cussed them some more and them blocked them

I have an idea to give a payback to many scammers collectively. How about celebrating a "National Scammers Payback Day" every month. If you can join hands with Jim Browning , Pierogi and other scam-baiters and plan an event like that, it will be awesome. Just publish all the scam numbers you have and their scheme. ...we all can call any one of the numbers randomly and make their life miserable for a few hours. We could avoid many people getting scammed during that time. It will also create awareness .
