This is the first time I've really felt like the "cheater" isn't at fault. They were sleeping together still but both agree they weren't in a committed relationship. While single, Paris starts texting him. He falls in love with him because of course he does. It's the guy he was just in love with. Even if she would have expressed disapproval for your actions she knew you were not going to stop and her only way to find out what you were actually doing and get evidence of infidelity is to catfish you and now she can make a conscious decision as to what to do now that she knows you a cheater.
