That comes from using J hooks A lot of people,myself included, use circle hooks just better hookup ratio and 9/10 getting hooked in the corner of the mouth just reel down when the bite comes no yankin to set the hook necessary 😎😎

My son works for the Corp of engineers that control the river. He told me when the water runs over those rock jetties it digs a hole on the down stream side. That's where the cats hang out. Love watching you catch the big ones !

Keep it up with your videos, they’re worth watching. I want to ask you on what size of rods you are using for channel catfish. Where I am at there are sturgeon to be caught and they are good to eat as well. We have Northern Pike (Jack Fish), Pickerel (Walleye), Perch, Golden Eye… awesome way to eat from the wild and there are no additives to them. They are pure good food… two thumbs up… I am wondering if there are any sturgeon on that river hmmmmm…
