Coincidence, just walked some backwater flooded areas today targeting shellcrackers and gills, did very well. Thought tomorrow I'd go to the larger creeks and target channels and flatties. Yep, flooding but this time it was local rains and not Woodruff or the dams on the Chattahoochee flooding us just because they don't care.

Man some of those slow pulls in a small body of water like that makes me think turtles every time. Also for that poison ivy, use unscented spray anti-antiperspirant to spray down your legs. If will close off the pores and prevent the oils from soaking into the skin. I've used it for years, I'm very allergic to it myself and growing up as a kid and being covered with rashes and all lumpy and swollen was not a fun memory lol.

Poison Ivy story: DId you know you can get it when it is dead winter? How do I know? Glad you didn't ask! I will tell you. WInter storm. A car is down the embankment, upside down. I am first on scene, I go down, slipping and sliding. Not paying too much attention to what I am holding onto to stay up. Everything is dormant. I guess I grabbed onto some broken vines and sticks. Did you know that the plant, while frozen, still has sap that has the oils in it? I never thought about it. You see the leaves all the time and avoid them. How do you do that in winter? Got back to the cruiser, and it took me a solid 30 mins before I figured it out. And now you know... (insert star and rainbow)
