The thermic camera was on Saga, we want more proof first that it will actually detect stuff that we won’t see on radar and AIS

Oh cool! I wasn't aware that OSKAR was available commercially as well. I saw it on the vendee boats. What OS / computer setup are you gonna run behind that ultrawide screen?

The screen will replicate the BandG Zeus3S plotter(s) outside and we planned to connect the Surface Book 2 over a docking station. Lately I am having performance problems though with Pinnacle Studio 24 which performs a lot worse than 23. So maybe we’ll have to change laptop before we go

I think surface tablets are sometimes a bit finicky with ultrawide external monitors. Some work, some will leave black bars. So that night be another consideration for a potential laptop upgrade :)

it's a surface book but i could / should have checked it on my ultrawide lg at home when the microsoft docking station was still here. We'll see whether it works next month. The announced Razer blade or MSI versions that I am considering are not available yet anyway.

Love your boat and the excitement in picking it up on your next visit. Without getting into the price, what percentage of initial price would you spend on upgrades and accessories?

Between 30 and 40%, more than half of that is already for the carbon mast and carbon cross upgrades
