Cathay Pacific First Class Review + Hong Kong First Class Lounges

This flight was pure indulgence! I was lucky enough to fly Cathay Pacific First Class from Hong Kong to London Heathrow. I brought my camera along so you can see exactly what it's like to fly First Class on Cathay Pacific.
This first class Cathay flight was on the Boeing 777. My first class review covers the Cathay Pacific first class lounges in Hong Kong - the Wing First Class Lounge and the Pier First Class Lounge. Both are stunning!

Lord Ashbury - I completely agree. I only found his channel last week and I find it very interesting. I had no idea that suites were a thing on an airplane. I use to say I wouldn't know how to spend a lottery winning but I do now. :)

I worked on the design on that 777 interior for Cathay. I remember the cabin furniture including that stupid flower in the vase had to withstand 16G of force to prevent it flying around like a missile during an 'incident.

I can never get over how capacious the 777 is. The first time I ever got on one, I was astonished at how cavernous the interior was. I could hardly reach the air vents while seated in the middle row; I had to tiptoe to reach my bag in the overhead lockers. I wondered how a plane so large could ever leave the ground fitted with just two engines. I was not surprised to later find out that they are the largest jet engines around! Such a marvelous plane!

It's always a joyous and refreshing chunk of minutes watching your flight based travelogues Dennis, And this was no exception. The 15 minutes just breezed by due to your easy going manner & smooth editing and v.o. (voiceover). Having used Hong Kong airport as a transit en route to Brisbane & back last year, I'm glad they seem to have upped the ante a bit. The distances between lounges and terminals are quite significant , as I also discovered when I used both club (or business?) Lounges last year. I walk quite fast , yet it took nearly 30 minutes or so to get to my gates each time after leaving the lounge comfort zones behind. The Cathay first class lounges look excellent & are a real step up from the lounges I used. Maybe one day I'll savour those too. One final thing I noticed was that you didn't do your customary 'reveal' sequence to the pyjamas (hand on lens before changeover , etc). You must have been exhausted prior as I think you mentioned in the video ( 22hrs being awake/ in transit et al). Overall a great video. 👍
