Very nice review and helpful too. Thanks for your tip about booking the day bed and massage at the lounge in HK. I did the reverse on CX252 in March in 1K. Like your flight, excellent crew and service. The bed was so comfortable that I slept solidly for 7 hours, only waking 60mins before landing, just in time for my breakfast! Oh yes, I had a bit (!) of their Krug 04 and Lynch Bages too, which went well with my braised lamb shank. Even though they have cut back on their pre departure canapés, the overall experience, I think, is still first class!

I was scrolling through your videos Paul and came across this one, which I must have missed earlier. Again, lovely & informative presentation. I can't help but feel that the days of 1st class travel may be coming to an end. Sing Air's product between New York & Tokyo (with Business & Premium Classes only) may be the start of things to come for long haul travel.

So looks like they kept the bones of the old seat (which are great) and strategically improved the most "dated" elements, i.e. the TV screen, remote, and the (sometimes stained and fraying) seat fabric ... smart move!

Awsome, It would be coo” for you to try economy or premium economy to compare it to your other flights. I flew Singapore from Australia, I was in economy so it was kind of uncomfortable but I LOVED it.
