Great video, Jayden! I was surprised to see how much legroom you had given how many people they squeezed on to the plane. When you said "high-density" I was thinking tiny legroom, but it looked great. The food was nice for a relatively short flight. Hope you enjoyed your time in Fukuoka. I still need to get down to Kyushu some day.

It's interesting how Cathay has 438 seats (396 economy) in this aircraft yet only has recliner business seats and no premium economy. Meanwhile Air Canada has fully-flat business and premium economy in the 450-seat version of this aircraft with 398 economy. I'm guessing it might be due to the extra galley that Cathay has at door 4 in this aircraft? Also, I wonder why this non-ER has smaller TVs in economy compared to those in the -300ER? Why not get the same seats and TVs for both versions of the aircraft? Either way that still doesn't hide the fact that their 777 still has an inferior product compared to their A350.

There are some questions: 1. Why CX doesn't want to return to Gatwick & Newark? 2. Even though Air China has a stake in Cathay, why Cathay doesn't want to transferred to Star Alliance? Unlike SAS which after they was been takeover by the AF-KLM, they leave Star Alliance and transferred to Skyteam member. 3. Also why CX has a veto on the oneworld which they can banned the CZ & Starlux membership to OW?
@JaydenWong2 ай бұрын
1. They only started Gatwick and Newark because LHR and JFK was full. But now they have slots 2. Cathay has a stake in Air China too. arguably more than Air China’s stake on Cathay as Air China is obviously bigger. Maybe Air China should join oneworld😜 3. CX is a major oneworld airline. They are one of the few who started it. Of course they will/can have a say
@NADIFPUTRA_787_92 ай бұрын
@@JaydenWong 1. How about Tokyo which they fly to both airports (Haneda & Narita)? Is HND is more fuller than LHR or JFK? And why Cathay fly more to Narita than Haneda? 2. This is similar to Lufthansa, Air France & Korean Air which they become the founder of Star Alliance & Skyteam.

777s with Rolls Royce Trent engines? You see fewer of them now as the classic 777s gradually retires from airlines that still have them. The current generation of 777s (especially the -300ERs) only offer GE90 engines. Don't get me wrong, GE makes good turbofans. But its always nicer for planes to have engine options and not be stuck with just one engine choice. As for CX...I guess its harder to tell in economy, but is the shortage of flight attendants in the cabin quite noticeable? Folks have been saying CX is short-staffed.
@JaydenWong2 ай бұрын
Yep! Non ER always have more options haha. CX has been flying those 777-300 non-ER since the days of Kai Tak! Before GE90 became available I think. Yes CX always has fewer crew compared to other Asian airlines (before staff shortages became an issue). But the crew to pax ratio is very similar to most big western carriers as wages are not exactly that low in HK. Pilot shortage is the real hurdle for CX now. They have a lot of crew now :) Hiring plenty around Asia Thanks for watching!
