I recall using this exact lounge prior to my China Airlines flight a few months back… I was lucky to find a seat, very busy! As for the Aircraft…Interesting layout, as someone who loves to have a view out the window I’d be breaking my neck each time. I agree with your point about needing more crew with language abilities, I’d say if an airlines is traveling to the far east.. they need more than a few on board that can speak the local language. I recall flying Cathay Pacific recently and there was crew from all over! Captain was Aussie… crew was from just about everywhere! Was great to see! Nice one Jayden! 👍

This was so cool! OMG It's the flight you took on the way to London when I was there! I saw the actual amenities kit I have sitting right here next to me. 🤣 You are right, that side of the cabin is much better than the other which was like a foot massage parlor. Nice capture of the KLM 777 on push-back! I saw your fabulous French shoulder bag on the seat next to your mom on the Tube at 30:50 Your uncle is on-point! Such a cool plane and he's so unique. Very cool to see the full flight prior to your arrival to London. I am surprised you were still able to eat again after that flight, but you did! Brought back great memories. Thanks for sharing.

Didi awesome video as usual...I flew day flight in May from bkk to Zurich on swiss business and I like the fact that it's day light so when I arrive early evening it's easy to go to sleep...I nvr flew VA but I def like the purple 💜 and the meals look okay not too pleasing for me for the main dishes ...I like the bar area but the one thing I don't think I will like is the herrine bone style of the seating which seems narrow...though I am kind of small 😂...yes privacy is def not good...coffin 😂...and yes the engines are awesome ...yes ice cream is def great in the air regardless of class...yes catering needs improvement...

Great video, Jayden! I find VA’s upper class seats to be strange, especially on the side where you’re staring at your neighbor across the aisle. That would make me feel awkward. I was surprised they didn’t have the Mandarin speaking FA working in upper class since the staff spend so much more time speaking to the passengers than in economy. I’m sure that did not leave a good impression on the Chinese speaking passengers. The flight with your uncle looked really cool. I hope you had a great time. Thank you for sharing.

You got a point, the menu items are a lot more extensive in business, more than just 'chicken or fish' 🤣 I had second hand embarrassment for the crew in upper class who had trouble communicating (and feeding) the big Chinese family.

I think delta who are the 49% shareholder are getting virgin to dump the 787s and go with the newer A330 neos. That seat will become a thing of the past soon with them. The new seats on the A300 neos are smarter and face forwards as well. They also have a few A350-1000s as well which I believe has the new seating. I would say the food was a little bit measly as it would not have filled me up and if would have taken half the snack bar to my seat. As for Walthamstow, it is pronounced how it is spelt Walt-Ham-Stow. Stow with the emphasis on the o and slight w sound at the end. Good 5o see you flying small aircraft and seeing a bit more of our green and pleasant land by air. See you next week, great blog.

Like it Jayden and speaking of your upper class seat at 12:52 these used to be on Cathay Pacific long haul fleet until the Safran Cirrus replaced them which are the Green Fabric ones on CX. Have you tried the Safran Cirrus seat Virgin Atlantic version or not? On PVG-LHR if you have to choose MU or VS which one you and your mum would have personally chosen? 32:17 If you check the faa us registry your uncles Piper PA-32r is built in 2005 19 years making it the same age as some CX A330-300s that were 2005 builds.

Great video + vlog…. Wanted to comment on your mention of Qatar Airways dine on demand. I just flew Qatar Business from US to South Asia on the A350 and all four sectors while the option was there, it was highly discouraged by each crew that we talked to and many strongly (gave no option) encouraged to eat during scheduled meal timings. Turkish was soooo much better in this regards!

@@JaydenWong I have flown on Emirates, Turkish and Qatar business on the same sector (Houston to the Middle East and then to South Asia). Turkish and Emirates would allow dine on demand whenever you wanted, on the shorter and longer sectors; they would also offer you different pairings and suggestions if you did not like your meal. Qatar on the shorter sectors seemed overwhelmed and both times said that if we did not eat at the scheduled meal time they could not and would not guarantee we would get a meal; on the longer sectors they "strongly encouraged and preferred that we eat during scheduled times to ensure meal choice and quality". Even when I did dine on demand on the 15hr sector, I was only guaranteed some of the sides and not the main course. Unlike Turkish and Emirates, on Qatar if you did not like a pairing or a dish they made no attempt to offer different pairings or selections; it was this selection or nothing. The midflight snacks on Qatar were also underwhelming...similar to what you received on the Virgin flight from Shanghai to London; Turkish and Emirates midflight snacks were better and more substantial

Managers of Virgin Atlantic really need to get their act together re what you said about passeners needing, help regarding language barrier translations., that's very poor & not a good look for a airline that is supposed to be professional in their product. Another great trip report/vlog JW. Yeah Air NZ do currently use the same seats in business class, where I must say is the best bed in the sky. The food size offered looked small compared to other airlines. I wonder how many people take the salt & pepper away as souvenirs? I have always loved London and the tube. How hot was it there?
