Well I see 1 bedroom apartment for 12 million and you can't add front nor back therefore, even though it's small much adjustments can be made on the house and two banana and plantain trees can be planted too for a very good price. Never thought house prices could get back to here.. I am very grateful for those who will get to own one.

Can just imagine de hell one probably have to go through to get one of these houses… many many years ago when I was a kid teenager a politician promise to help my mother who was a single parent help with getting a little room long story short he later told her she’s not in his area and he can’t help her I will never forget the look on my mom’s face she was broken.. praise the precious precious name of my Jesus I now live in the US and built a two story house in Jamaica where my mother now resided because she’s not interested in living in the us I think she’s one of the happiest people on earth she has everything she need god is good

You would have to take that one up with the HAJ they own the restrictive covenant. It clearly outlines what can and cannot be done.

Based on the NHT points system , it is impossible for someone in the private sector below the age of 40yrs to own an NHT scheme house, unless they use a parent points etc. I started working and paying statutory deductions 2 weeks after my 18th birthday and and 19.5 yrs later I still cant reach 500pts much less qualify no matter how much I apply

I definitely commend the effort to provide relatively affordable housing near the corporate area. It is a real dilemma for working (and middle) class, aspiring home owners who work within the corporate area. Commute is quite expensive. We all do recognize that this is not an ideal housing solution, but not many developers are catering to average salaried Jamaican, so it's a start.... The real critique I have however, would be location. I don't think it was entirely prudent to locate a housing development adjacent and in close proximity to a major highway (dignity, personal privacy and noise issues really should supersede the need for the this project to have public visibility ) and a light industrial zone (Grace warehouse is in an expanding commercial zone). One solution could be proper live barrier systems (trees and large hedgerows) restricting exposure. It would be good if within the area, the streets are tree lined avenues too. But kudos for the effort.
