I've said it many times before: your work is artistry. The beauty that you capture is truly a spiritual thing. Your mastery of photography, your music selection, your editing, and narration: watching you weekly is a form of meditation. I've said it before but I'll say it again: BRAVO!

My dear Cat, Whenever I need a Sierra fix I ALWAYS turn to you ..I miss my backpacking SO much. My wife has severe osteoporosis and has basically a surgery a year for the last decade. In order to keep my spirits high for her, ( when I get down) I go to you for my dose of the Sierras. I've backpacked them since I was in Boy Scouts where I fell in love with them. I am 74 now. So Thank you so much for continuing to go back so I can vicariously relive the places that are so very dear to me! Your beautiful videos combined with awesome music and commentary is what keeps me going and positive for my wife. But my very first love has always been the magic of the sierras. Thank you so very much!

Cat, I absolutely love your content. Your filming and editing are just so… I don't even know the word, and amazing doesn't seem like a powerful enough word. I know we don't see a lot of your super personal life. But to me, your content explains how you are as a person. Like this video, beautiful yet wild, powerful yet gentle, adventurous and peaceful. Just amazing. For the past few years, Sundays have always been coffee and a calming Cat video. No better way to start my Sunday. My wife has started watching your videos with me while we sip coffee. Please keep doing what you do. Thank you. Cheers.

From the beginning to the end, and everything in between, brings such tranquility. You are so talented in matching music with your cinematography. I love your opening images, and the image at 21:43 of the lake with the reflection of mountains and sky. Also your sage advice on solo backpacking. Although my backpacking days are long behind me, I still enjoy shorter hikes when time and health permit. By bringing colder weather gear and a headlamp, I can enjoy some of the beauty of backpacking, but without having to carry the weight. I hike down in the dark, after enjoying the sunset, moonrise and stars. Having been impacted by 3 disasters within the span of 2 years, your videos have helped to reduce my stress, transporting me to the present tranquil moment. Thank you and God bless you!

Gorgeous view at your campsite with the trees, orange mountain and blue sky reflecting on the crystal clear lake. Just stunning. Staying close to the trail head when solo backpack hiking in bear country was good advice. I could almost taste that coffee in the morning. It was clear that your hike into that wilderness was just what you needed. As an avid camper and outdoors person, I can surely relate. Thanks for taking us along. Beautiful video.

My wife and I were on that trail ( Hite Cove Trail) about 3 months prior. Supposedly they were experienced , but just how experienced is the question. That day it reached 109 degrees, with absolutely no shade. Much of the trail is totally exposed on the mountain side with only light scrub brush. When found, they were out of water even though a branch of the Merced river was at the bottom of the ravine, and about a mile and a half from the trail head. Very sad. Even though my wife and I love to hike, we do not consider ourselves (experienced), we do not over estimate our ability . Know your limitations and prepare for the worst.

Can't wait for my posse because the excuse towel always gets thrown in and I sit at home hoping someone will come thru. I also like to hear the wolves are naturally coming back to the Sierra. I have hiked in Montana & Canada and have been fortunate seeing them in the wild a few memorable times and it's something that never leaves you.

As to bears, once in Yellowstone on a trail following Panther Creek towards Quadurant mountain where my dad was doing some geologic mapping we saw at least a dozen black bears. We just kept our distance and they seamed happy. The early June weather was incredible so sleeping under the stars, one morning I woke to a bull moose not more the ten feet away. Laying on the ground and seeing such a huge animal (looked like he was ten feet tall) I just watched as he looked at me while chewing his cud. I knew all I could do is lie still and watch this magnificent animal as he watched me. Holly smokes I must have been 8 years old.
