Maul's "He will avenge us" is so good. Because he's not just saying that for himself, or Savage, or his mother, but for everyone who's suffering and death was because of Sideous. All the Jedi,Dooku, Obi-wan, hell even down to every civilian who was killed in the clone wars that was orchestrated by Palpatine, that is why he saying they will be avenged. And notice how he says avenge, not revenge like he has been obsessing over, showing in the last second, there was a chance for good.

I love how this video goes into depth over Maul's character; many would view Maul as an animal because his rage was so great in the Dark Side (pre Phantom Menace) that he preferred tearing his enemies apart with his bare hands rather than using the Force. But this shows how pretty much every day of his life since his birth, Maul was a slave to torment; from the Nightsisters cruelty to his master's sadistic training. He climbed his way with determination to inherit his destiny as the next Master of the Sith; so close to the top... and then Obi-Wan cast him off a metaphorical mountain. No destiny, no one to help him, all Maul had was his rage and his pain. What little love he was ever shown was ripped away from him right in front of his eyes; his brother at the hands of his old master, and his mother at the hands of Grievous. And he tried; Maul honestly did try to find someone out there who could understand the pain he had endured; Ahsoka with being cast aside by the Jedi and Ezra who had his family ripped away from him. It's the kind of thing that almost makes you want to give him a hug.

Aden speaks truth! Maul is definitely on a higher level of cool! Seeing him appear the first time on screen in TPM felt a lot like seeing Vader make his first appearance in ANH. That feeling of...I don't know what that guy is about yet, but he's legit badass, and I must know more!

Your obsession is all good Cat, obsessive love is the closest to actual love the Sith can get and that level of raw emotion with no filter is as honorable to a character like Maul as you can get. In another life a long time ago in a Galaxy far away, he may have taken you as his apprentice and partner. ;)

Watching this I must say made me realise something but I dont know if it was intentional from star wars. First I remember liking Maul as a villain when I saw phantom menace came out finding it a pity it wasnt deepened but then regretting seeing him return in clone wars and then enjoying him in rebels for you truly see more depth too him and loving the poetic final fight on tatooine with Obi wan. When he returned in the final season of clone wars. I understand how he is actually a very interesting persona. But what I realise watching this video is that in a sense, obi wan kenobi and Maul are like é sides of a different blade. If Kenobi would have fallen to the dark side, perhaps he would have been more like Darth Maul and vice versa. And that is where in a way in the final battle you actually see how Kenobi evolved. Anyway, cant say I am as huge a fan as u of Maul (more Kenobi fan or bocatan), but have come to appreciate Maul more. Indeed great tribute and reaction.
