“To be united by hatred is a fragile alliance at best.” That was Mauls failing, he failed to realize alls he had was hate, that it would consume him, that it would destroy him. He lived a life of darkness but his death bared both the final tenants of the Sith and Jedi code. The force shall free me. Perhaps in that final moment he finally found peace.

Sam Witwer (Maul’s Voice Actor) would make an awesome Konrad Curze. He has just the right amount of power, gravitas, mania and pain in his voice to perfectly capture the Lord of Nostromo’s presence! Especially that part where Maul is screaming about Order 66 and how “We’re all going to burn, we’re all going to die!!!” This whole scenario reminds me of when Konrad was confronted by Dorn when he was having a mental breakdown. Maul’s hatred for Obi-Wan also mirrors Konrads hatred of Corvus and Sanguinius.

10:06 It's kind of poetic, isn't it? It all started on Tatooine and for Maul it all ends on Tatooine.

The final duel between Kenobi and Maul is an awesome brief fight. Kenobi assumes Qui-Gon's stance, and when Maul tries to do the same moves he used to kill the master, Kenobi counters.

maul despite how scary and cool he looks, is by far one of the most ''screwed/fucked over'' characters in the star wars series, even worse than anakin/vader, mainly in the prequel trilogy.😭 also it just proves that ''Manipulator/Mastermind'' type villains like palpatine/sidious are one of the most terrifying characters in fiction, period.😨

@@howardhavardramberg333 honestly Legends Maul kinda sucks when it comes to the force compared to his Canon counterpart. Thankfully for Maul TCW is the basis of this crossover and there is plenty of Legends TCW content with Maul to make him a force of nature.

Back when the Clone Wars brought Maul back I was annoyed because how could he survive being bisected and falling down that shaft? But they put his character to good use. Him and his brother. The fact that Maul was a chaos element Darth Sidious personally went to eliminate speaks to how much of a problem he could become. And even after that, he managed to make trouble. Sure, it wasn't a Sith warrior leading Mandalore level of trouble, but he would still make things happen in his retirement. He would aid 2 jedi in alliances of necessity, he would forge a criminal syndicate, and he would duel Kenobi one last time on the burning sands of the damned cradle of fates. After killing the woman Kenobi tried to tame his love for when last they met. The Sith may be powerful, but they can never truly win. Theirs is a covenant of pain, hate, pride, ambition, revenge, and destruction. They may stand tall for a time, but their fuel is a fire that burns them up.

The dark side doesn't see you as an equal. For the dark side, it's wielder is nothing more than an angry, unshackled battery to suck dry until there is nothing left but an empty husk, a force wraith that can be used for all of eternity. The stronger you think you pull from it, the stronger it pulls from you. I cannot fathom the hatred that forms a bulwark strong enough to withstand this maelstrom of madness without blowing up like a landmine.

Anything ever come from that Maul appearance in the Solo movie?
@joewoodland8635 Жыл бұрын
only the knowledge that the crime syndicate he establishes during the clone wars becomes the Crimson Dawn, there is a large gap between TCW and solo, 9 years, and then again a large gap between solo and rebels, 5 years min. It had been stated that he was supposed to be the main antagonist in ep7-9 by Lucas but i dont know the irl timeline between that idea being canned and maul being killed in Rebels.
@Historyfrek4ever Жыл бұрын
Rebels was not very good overall, but it had its moments, Maul’s final days were one of them. (It happened in legends also)
@joewoodland8635 Жыл бұрын
I binged rebels while going through the franchise in canon chronological order and SPOILER WARNING: Kaleb's death i found to be one of the most emotive moments in the whole franchise and my favourite, i think. The music and suddenness of the scene coupled with the notion that you think the characters will be invincible (it feels like rebels has a younger target audience) really brings the reality of the war home more than several other moments.
