Because her "pop/r&b music" technique makes her a lot more money and it's what has made her so famous. Maybe it's not great technique, but it has a unique sound that sets her apart from other artists. I feel like if she used this "Broadway" technique with her current music it wouldn't be very appealing to the masses. Unfortunately that's just how the music industry works. As a particular fan of national anthems, I was super impressed by the inclusion of the Swiss anthem. I recognized it immediately. Well played. My view of Ariana was also changed by this performance. I've heard a lot of people criticize her, for singing musical theater in a slightly different way than we expect. Given how much success she has had with here "pop schtick," it's impressive to me that she can still reign most of that in, be very respectful of the material (she IS a theater geek, clearly), and bring something slightly different to music theater stuff that she does.

Love what you said about the lower note and how people usually look down, I used to do that, thx Also like what you said about taking to much of a breath can to the opposite of lasting longer, but actually is pushing. Only thing I'm a little but like uhmmm is you talk about resonance, I thought I had learned it, but lately I've heard from various vocalists that, there is no such thing as singing with resonance... Idk, I think I will keep asking vocalist until I think I've gotten a good amount of answers. Also you said something I didn't understand, and it was how Ariana was singing shiny, got a little bit confused there. But overall I liked your video, it's the first video of yours I've seen.

I really like your review of Ariana. I like her as a singer, but you hit the nail at tea time. Even though Ariana is a good vocalist, sometimes on alot of her pop songs I have no clue what the hell the verses are, or what she is saying bc of her technique. You gave an honest review and I appreciate that. Ariana did an amazing job during this performance. She made this song sound just like a Disney movie with the sun shining bright. She's very talented.
