I made the red velvet cookies. Instead of using Hershey hugs, I drizzled melted cream cheese frosting over the cooled cookies. They are utterly delicious! Or as my daughter put it, they’re dangerous. lol

I made the red velvet and instead of the hugs. I added some mini chocolate chips and then some white chocolate chips on the top before baking. Delicious and pretty.

As a young adult in the 70's, myself, sister, and sister-inlaw made these. We used veggie oil. I had forgotten this easy trick. And will be making your varieties. I think the chocolate-mint will be my favorite. Thank you.

I use the. Butter Pecan cake. Mix with HEATH toffee chips. I call them Toffee Delights. Adding half a cup of flour to the recipe has made them even better, fluffier instead of flat. Thanks, I enjoy your cooking.

Add about 1/4 cup of brewed coffee to your liquid for a strong mocha flavor , lesser amounts make it not so pronounced.

I did the devil’s food cake mix with Andie’s pieces in the batter. I used 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening so the cookies wouldn’t get so flat. I always do that with my chocolate chip cookies too. Thanks for sharing!

You asked about our favorite Christmas cookies, my very favorite cookies for Christmas are soft cut sugar cookies. They bake up soft like a loft house cookie, but completely hold their shape when cut and don't spread. My family literally revolts at Christmas if I don't make these. LOL Once I found that recipe for soft cut sugar cookies, I tossed all the rest of the cut sugar cookie recipes I had and never looked back.

Pit brown sugar caramel frosting or even cream cheese frostening for your topping. I'm a skosh lazy, i put a paper doily on top, then powdered sugar for a design, diest last long enough at my house to get fancy- iced.

I need to get some cookie mix and make cookies this year since both my kids will be home for Christmas. My coworkers before I retired loved when i would make cookies and bring them in on Christmas eve. I would choose the orange. However I'm thinking of a cake mix recipe using pumpkin, raisins and walnuts & maybe reduce the butter. I'm a fan of dates or raisins. Years ago I would alter a scratch recipe---to add pumpkin, raisins & nuts. I'm also thinking of making a mince meat cookie. Have not made that yet. I've got loads of cake mixes I want to put to work.
