Our family loves an appetizer that we have enjoyed for years. The ingredients are dates that have had the seeds removed, pecan halves, thin sliced bacon. To assemble the dish, find the opening on each date and place a pecan half in each one. Once all are stuffed with the pecan halves, cut a strip of bacon either in half or in thirds. Your choice as to how much bacon you wrap the dates in. Make sure the bacon goes completely around the date at least one time. Fasten with a toothpick if you need to. Place on a silicone mat that covers a cookie sheet so grease is collected and drained from the bacon. Bake at 350 degrees until bacon is browned and crisp looking. Remove from oven, let cool, and remove the toothpicks. Store in an airtight container. Before serving you can reheat in a microwave, just watch them so they don't burn.

Omg thank you for this!! There’s this tapas restaurant we go to that has “bacon wrapped dates” no matter who I go there with, we ALWAYS get “the dates.” They’re just like your recipe- some kind of nut stuffed in a date then wrapped in bacon. Never thought about making them myself, I’m sooo doing that. The restaurant drizzles some kind of reduction over them and tops them with a little blue cheese crumbles. I’ll have to come up with something similar

My sons and I make stuffed jalapeños with sausage and cream cheese and then wrap them in bacon and bake!!! Oh dang they are so good

Love anything bacon. I make bacon wrapped tater tots. Just cut raw bacon into about 1/3, and wrap around a semi-thawed tater tot and secure with a toothpick. Place wrapped tots on a baking sheet with a lip on it and place in a 350 degrees F preheated oven. Bake until bacon is crisp and the tot is cooked through. I usually serve with side dishes of bbq sauce and ranch dressing.

Hi Angie, I read your comment and I pretty much do the same thing now if you wanna kick it up a notch defrost your tater tots as many as your gonna use, cut the tots in half and place a piece of xsharp cheddar or whatever cheese you like cut to fit the tator tot then place both halves back together, wrap with half strip of bacon and roll in brown sugar bake as usual. I promise you that you won't be disappointed!!! Merry Christmas 🎄

These all look amazing! 💓 The funny thing is I spent last week looking for appetizer recipes. 🧐 What's even funnier is I had forgotten about my own creation that I sent you.🤦 But now I have even more recipes! 🤗 Since I go to physical therapy twice a week, I've been taking them different cakes and brownies. ☺️ But since we had Thanksgiving last week I was thinking about something lighter. And that's when I started looking for appetizer recipes. 😉 Especially since most of us ended up eating way too much last week. 😏 And now I have even more things to try to keep it on the lighter side. 😋 Another thing I realized while looking for these recipes is how our family started having a lot of appetizers at Christmas. Most people go to a number of relative's houses for Christmas and it's easier and better to eat lighter than do what we did at Thanksgiving. 😐 So as always Catherine, your timing is impeccable! 🤗 Thanks for sharing another great video! 🥰

Oh man, sausage balls are my absolute favorite! I use a recipe that uses cream cheese in it, though, so they are never dried out. Yum!! I bet my hubby would love that olive cheese dip, I'll have to give that one a try.

Our family favorites are Buffalo chicken dip with chips, beer bbq glazed kielbasa, tomato and mozzarella on baguettes, spinach dip in a bread bowl. Hi Catherine, Here at home, we like to stuff 1/4 of a pecan into a whole pitted date and wrap that with 1/2 a slice of bacon, secure with a toothpick and bake as you did the pineapple. Now that's another bite of candy too. 😉

I have trouble combining the ingredients so I started using the food processor to combine the dough. Works great. I also use 1/2 hot sausage in 1/2 mild.

All I can say is Yum. I Love them all I've made all of them except for the crackers with bacon. The recipe I made used chocolate chip morsels in place of the bacon. So I'll definitely try it your way. I love the sausage balls the best. Thanks for sharing. Love From your longtime Indiana Friend.
