Speaking of earthquake cake, I once made exploding date squares. Made with an authentic gas oven that didn't heat up for 45 min. When the heat finally came on, I put the pan in the oven & kaboom. I woke up on the front lawn and my mother got a new kitchen!! I'd love to see you make some good, southern date squares without the gunpowder. Thanks Catherine

💕Looks amazing! I'm making this tonight! Maybe, for the people that don't know, explain the toothpick testing theory? I'm sure most people know how it works but some may not. I love strawberries 🍓and I love anything flavored with strawberries or strawberry flavoring. My kids sadly took after their father on the not liking several fruits and strawberries are one of them. My daughter tho does like things that are fruit flavored. It's more of a texture thing for her. So I bet we could make this cake and just not add the real strawberries. Maybe have some sliced up on the side for myself to put on the top. We just bought all the ingredients to make your Reese's Poke cake. We are going to be making that soon.
