You guys really need to do a study of the Liturgy of Saint James. He was also a Priest after the order of Melkisedek. He said The Lord appeared to him and he wrote down all that He commanded about the Liturgy.

The holy sacrifice is the sacrifice of praise. Are you guys saying that the gentiles offer a sacrifice for the remission of sins? I sure hope not. The liturgy was completed on the cross. We now celebrate the grace that exists after the Sacrifice has been given. Your Christ is still on the cross and you offer him as a repeat sacrifice. My Christ is on the thrown at the right hand of the father. IT IS FINISHED.

I respectfully disagree. All we have in Didache is a eucharistic prayer. Same with Justine Martyr. You cannot conclude from a written prayer that the Early Church was liturgical. The liturgy as it is known today developed well into the Medieval Church.

Xtremecrnogorac My friend, if Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist (which through Faith and Reason I Believe) the liturgy must be somewhat elaborate! The priesthood did not get cancelled after Jesus came. The priest offers the ultimate sacrifice (Jesus)! Prayers for an increase in Faith, Hope and Love!

To be honest, when I walk into a what I know will be a Novus Ordus, and I see a drum and guitar set up, I wince...and remembering what JRR Tolkien counseled son Christopher, an annoying Mass can be more spiritualy valuable than an explicitly reverent Mass, because it can force you concentrate on the Consecration of the Offerings and the reception of the Real Presence.

NO circus masses are going the way of the Dodo. All of these type Churches are hemorrhaging Catholics and dying financially. Huge movement BACK into the Traditional Latin Mass. These Churches can barely seat and contain all the Catholics showing up to them. Even young Catholics who can see through the V2 baloney and confusion.
