Given the widely-publicised crisis of masculinity, is it really the end of a clear traditional role for men? What is it that men are for? Can we find a way back to a set of absolutes from which we can build a new understanding of the masculine behaviours that still seem hardwired in us? Does the Catholic faith hold any answers?

Hi - take a look at our website www.catholicman.uk. There is an option to look for Catholic men's groups in your region. If there are no groups near you, then set one up. Meet regularly and consistently, make the Eucharist central to the group, but don't neglect healthy masculine activities. Make an understanding of the Virtues and of fatherhood a clear aim.

There is not necessarily a “switch”. The Church makes it very clear that “attraction” to same sex itself is not a sin…it is the acting upon ANY sexual sin! Sex before marriage, homosexuality and any other sexual sin is a sin. Confession, and fall in love with the rosary. There are several organizations out there that are catholic based dealing with those feelings. Praying for you!
