Wonderful explanation father Mike,Thank God for the Church fathers,the Magisterium beginni g with Peter,whom God installed to be head of his church here on earth,shame protestants don't get this ,wish they be more literal with their understanding of this,God bless them.I wasonce a protestant,many breakaway churches over the years ,whereby God formed one Church and it is still together.

It's very hard though. There's God, the devil and myself all living in my head. God is, of course, always God but myself and devil wear so many disguises. How am I supposed to make decisions in the middle of that circus?

No one claims the Pope is the head of the Church. This is not what Catholicism teaches

Your Church? Sounds like you’re making decisions on emotion which has no basis in reality. Jesus Christ established HIS Church on earth over 2000 years ago and handed authority to his apostles before ascending into heaven. Establishing Peter as the first “Pope” and the apostles as first bishops/priests. You can read about Jesus giving authority to forgive sins to his apostles John 20:23. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. This priestly authority is then passed down to the successors in Christ’s One True Church which happens to be Catholic. Thats the way God ordered it, and Christ is 100% the head of it. All authority extends from him

Yet Jesus named apostles among all of his disciples. Yet the apostles appointed bishops instead of just letting anyone lead the church. Yet everyone came to Rome and to Peter to make important decisions. Yet the church has recognized, since the apostolic times, figures of central authority: apostles, patriarchs, bishops. Even Paul travelled to Rome to seek the authority of the apostles. You can say all of that but the fruit of the protestant revolution was only division into 5000 different protestant branches which loosened the concept of christianity so much in the public perception that now people don't even know what it means. Any of the evils caused by the church having a central authority have been much outweighted by the "free enterprise" church.

@@pedrofalk The 12 were appointed to preach the Gospel with signs following and of course they couldn't be everywhere therefore GOD gave gifts to each believer for the benefit of the Church but no one is the Head of the Church except CHRIST Himself. Even Peter himself answered to James in Jerusalem concerning preaching to Cornelius and family (gentiles) who were incidentally baptized with the Holy Spirit (saved and forgiven with signs following) before they were water baptized which was merely a physical sign of the the spiritual truth of being baptized by the Holy Spirit meaning saved and forgiven of all sins once for all (Mark 1:7 KJV). Where does the Bible say that the Apostles were in Rome? Of course there was division. Do you recall at the beginning GOD created the heaven and the earth. It was void and dark then GOD called out the light which was the knowledge of GOD in the face of JESUS CHRIST. That is how GOD saves a person. HE calls out the Light in a dark unsaved heart. Then what does HE do next? Genesis 1:4 KJV And GOD saw the Light, that it was good: and GOD divided the Light from the darkness. So, you see when GOD saves a person HE also separates (divides) them from the darkness (the lost) where there is no knowledge of GOD.

@@jarueb Peter was not a pope type but merely an elder which was also applied to others. No, they cannot forgive sins. Like me, they only have the authority to preach the gospel and inform people that if they believe their sins are remitted or if they do not believe then their sins are retaine, as I do, which I tell you now your sins are retained if you deny that CHRIST shed HIS real blood and gave HIS real body on a real cross for the forgiveness of all your sins once for all in your place and gives a believer immediate eternal life. If you do not know where you will go if you died right now then you deny what CHIST said therefore you deny CHRIST. Your sins are retained.

The spirit of the devil is loud,rambles negative ideas about someone or yourself and wants you to entertain its suggestions ideas or judgments. The spirit of God is calm, suggests always righteous deeds and thoughts. And it takes time to have a full conversation with God whereas the devil walks up to you thinking not only he is your pal but gets to decide when to start the conversation and when to end. Flat out rude!

Not with me. I’m constantly bombarded with so called coincidences. I’m thinking about Joseph and his brothers and this guy walks by me listening to a commentary on Joseph and his brothers. I said that the US is the leopard in Revelation 13 and then this girl is wearing a leopard blouse. It’s like non stop and it is because I’m in a different dimension not the earthly dimension but one that God out of mercy and love gave me another chance at life after committing suicide. Everyone knows my thoughts because most are demons and it’s an extension from hell. Because that’s where I would’ve ended up if it weren’t for God having pity on me. All I remember was taking my mom’s RX pills and lying in bed and then I woke up as if I slept for an entire week. It is like a replica of the authentic world same current events same everything but I’m a spirit and everyone is pretty much working to have me damned to hell. I just found this out but I have to be extremely grateful about Gods mercy towards me and for doing this for me. I wonder if I’m the only one he decided to give a second chance at life or are there others experiencing life thinking they are alive but actually are dead and they don’t know it.
