Amen! We are living in the post-structuralist, Postmodernist, Post-Truth era and the WEF and all the politicians and bureaucrats they own are pushing that agenda. One of the key proponents of this agenda was Michel Foucault. One of the things I like about the Church is the framework, the structure. I wasn't always like that, but in troubling times it can be comforting just in the routine. We in the countries of the Global West have largely grownup in safe environments and have been able to meet our needs and I think that has made many of us soft, spoiled, and irreverent. I look at friends who have come here from far more violent countries and weaker economies and it seems they are all much more religious than most of us because the tenuous existence that they recognize that we live.

I always work to go every Sunday. I try to aim to go Saturday but I have issues with sleep. I miss when I use to go to church every other day when I use to work overnight. I would go to Saint Patrick in Mahattan when I could.

I don't go to Church because its awkward and stressful. Ultimately its a welcoming place but lets face it, whenever an outsider enters a group they are viewed with supcison and I dont like dealing with that on a Sunday morning. Not only that Im in my mid 30s and unmarried so having to sit next to people with families is weird. And I refuse to go and sit with all the born again types looking for salvation. Plus my local Church congregation has um, changed a bit in he last 20 years. Back when I was a kid it was all ahem, people of European decent. Now days its like I just got off a plane in Beijing or Delhi. Even the padres dont speak English, they speak Cantonese. Sorry, guys but no dice. Plus they also do some really cringe stuff like re-enacting the crucifixion as if its from the Passion. Yeah I get it on Easter by all means do a re-enactment but tone it down. Bloody deacons dressed up like Legionaries running around screaming at people with prop whips.

I am from that part of the world that Mother Theresa lived in. You would not last 2 minutes if you had to step forth in there, let alone being willing to hug and kiss the people she looked after. Try it and then after spending your life in the service of the abjectly poor, come tell us about how you've done better than her.
