Marx started from Hegel who was more stuble, and certainly no revolutionary himself, but the idea of rational progress of history and a developing sense of political-individual freedom had been there, together with a rationalisation of religion. In Wokism we also detect a return of gnostic thought (the body as evil, the real ego as completely bodyfree). Peace!

I'm not sure it's that complicated. I don't remember Marx saying that women are victims and men are bad. I doubt that workers I the field thought this to be.
