For those who are wondering about the veracity of this narrative, the author of "CONTES HISTORIQUES," G. Lenotre said: "This story was told to me one evening beside the Couesnon River near Fougères where from 1793 to 1800 the epic struggle of the Chouans took place. Memories are still keen in these parts of the 'great trial' of the Revolutionary era." I think there is, at the very least, a kernel of truth to this tale.

That was so wonderful. I'm kind of tired myself. I deeply desire that innocent Catholicity in my life again. Please pray for my parish and priest here in South Cotabato. God love you! ✝️❤️

I must confess that I shed a tear while editing this video because those nun's voices are so beautiful: the fruit of a pure and chaste life. You can almost hear the sacrifice they have made. Christmas stories are incredible. It's such a special time. God bless!

What a wonderful story! I just sent it to my sister and my Greek teacher friend in France, and to my nephew in Germany. It is a story to share as it conveys so much hope and of course the true and real miracle of Christmas. Thank you so much, Catholic gentleman. Merry Christmas, God bless you and Mary keep you.

Thank you for sharing these series, I have shared with my friend who is slowly dying from prostate cancer, he can't make it to mass anymore. These will help him at this time.

What a lovely story! It reminds us that the Church has been fighting valiantly for centuries, not just recently as it sometimes feels. It’s great to see you, Matthew, and Griffin, too! Merry Christmas, and God bless you!

Is there a published print book of these "Short Stories on Honor, Chivalry, and the World of Nobility?" Where can I find more?
@catholicmenspodcast15 күн бұрын
It's very hard to find online anymore. G. Lentore also wrote "Contes Historiques" and "Legendes de Noel." Hopefully you can find a version translated into english.

Is it true that the French rebels destroyed not only a letter written by Jesus Christ himself to King Abgar, but also a cloth with a miraculous image of his face, later used in healing the king?

@@catholicmenspodcast Father Carlos Martin made a mention of this letter from Jesus on a talk about St. Jude. I highly recommend watching it, as it relates to St. Jude and his intercession throughout history.
@aaronr372615 күн бұрын
Yes this is true, there is documentation about the letter of Jesus and it has been rewritten many times. The miraculous image of Jesus was included with the letter when He wrote it, so both were destroyed I believe. I’d like the imagine that when the letter was grabbed and Jesus’s face was revealed, the person to destroy it stopped for a second and looked at His face and forgot why he was so full of hate. Like a painting feeling the brush of their painter, a closeness of creation that crumbles your hard core and love floods out

@@catholicmenspodcastFather Carlos Martins mentioned it in his sermon on the St Jude relics that he had, but the whole story about that king is highly contested from what I understand.
