I love running into street preachers and telling them I am Catholic. It’s exciting to share some things with them about the Eucharist and St. Peter (the key is to show them Isaiah 22 where the Prime Minister is given the Keys of the Kingdom from the King). I also love street preachers because they’re spending time trying to tell people about God, and are willing to face ridicule and hostility from random people to do it. I know it’s not a typically Catholic thing to do street preaching, but we should all ask God what we should do to evangelize.

God transformed my heart after hearing Gods Word through a protstant preacher. I'm catholic now, and see the mistakes I believed before. But I'm very grateful for my protestant experience. Sometimes I wonder: God allowed all the trials and schisms in the church, He allowed the Protestant reformation. It was to HUMBLE us, sharpen us, make us stay awake, to keep fighting for Truth to know and love God better. We need to make some wrong turns to eventually see that it was a wrong turn. Jesus Christ, therefore, the Word made flesh, was sent as "a man to men." For this reason Jesus perfected revelation by fulfilling it through his whole work of making Himself present and manifesting Himself: through His words and deeds, His signs and wonders, but especially through His death and glorious resurrection from the dead and final sending of the Spirit of truth. How about John 6:53? You conveniently skipped over that one. So, since apparently THOSE words of Christ don't matter to you, then you are yourself denying Christ. My point? Quit with the proof texts...the salvation argument will never be won or lost by proof texting one another. Christ judges us upon our death. It is for him and him alone to decide. For you to assume you have salvation is essentially inserting yourself Christ's role as our judge. Remember St. Paul's words to Timothy that ALL scripture is profitable for teaching. Read the Bible as a whole, don't pick and choose verses that fit your narrative.

Show me an unbloody sacrifice of the mass in Holy Scripture. The RCC real presence was not official until innocent III added it to the Lateran council in 1215 AD. Protestantism and/or bible alone doctrine are either material heresy or formal heresy. It is only an act of material heresy if a bible alone believer does not have sufficient knowledge of the Catholic Faith through no fault of his own and has good will. Therefore, a person who adheres to protestantism or bible alone doctrine is not a mortal sin and will not damn him for that if his act is only material heresy.

We don't "pray" to Mary or the saints instead of God. We pray and worship God the Father through Jesus. However, there are different kinds of prayer. The Bible talks about intercessory prayer and praying for others, for example. Not all prayer is worship. That is the kind of prayer of the saints. On that note, one of the definitions of the word 'pray' means "to ask, or to implore." So, when we "pray" to Mary or the Saints, we ask them to pray for us to _Jesus_ just as we ask friends and family to pray for us to Jesus. Then Jesus, the perfect mediator takes all of our prayers to God. He alone goes to God on our behalf. Intercessory prayer is biblical as is praying for one another in the body of Christ. They can bring our prayers to God (Jesus) Rev. 5:8 The Bible is clear that people within the body of Christ can pray for one another, and Mary and the Saints are in the body of Christ.
