This is informative but when people only use horoscope and astrology as their religion, I think is wrong. I have a family member who lives everyday by this and doesn't account for God.

Jimmy Akin's Mysterious World podcast has an episode about this. He referenced evidence that a single star (our sun) does have a slight effect on people's personalities, theoretically because of the amount of vitamin D our mothers get during pregnancy. Other stars seem to be too far away to have a measurable effect, but note that these tendencies caused by the seasons of the sun could have seemed to have been caused by the parallel seasons of the night stars in ancient times.

I'm gonna try to reiterate what I'd commented earlier and maybe find a better understanding of what is being said, because, I'm no priest, and I'm certainly not above a priest or bishop, I'm not above the authority of God. What then does astrology or astronomy of any sense play a part in our lives? And, what exactly is Fr. Hugh explaining in his talk in the video..? I'm lost lol 🤣

He's basically saying to turn to the Word of God for answers and ask Him for the insite you need to live your life, and look at what saints were born when you were born, or what saints feast days are on the day you were baptized to see how they lived, for inspiration and whatever else he was saying about that.. Lol

He is using the heresy of heliocentrism to explain the heretical aspects of astrology. Modern astronomy is much more heretical than traditional astrology and helliocentrism is intrinsic to that heresy. This is wrong. He is saying constellations and signs are the same. This is wrong too. Everything else is mostly correct.

The globus cruciger for example is the traditional christian (hence catholic) symbol for the whole universe. Remember Galileo, this pertains to that episode in history.

Allan, numerous theories have been put forward to explain December 25 as Christmas Day. The most likely one, however the one most generally accepted by scholars now, is that the Birth of Jesus Christ was assigned to the date of the winter solstice. This date is December 21 in our calendar, but was December 25 in Julian calendar, and Jan 6 in the Egyptian Calendar.
