I born 1995 and was raised in Brazil. Brazil is the country with the most catholics in the world and in my childhood was a given that you would be catholic by standard. Now we are with problems here too because of the evangelics and other minor religions. It's a time of great turmoil my brothers in Christ. Pray for the Mother Church.

The church has unity! We have faith in Jesus, who he is and what he did! And we all take communion! And we all pray! And we all worship! And we all study the Bible! And we all get lessons from our leaders on Sunday! And we are all holy (separate from all other people in the world -2 billion strong!) We are all saints - believers! We all confess and are forgiven! We all believe in the Trinity! There is no problem!

I am sure that when the original Christians met in homes (Followers of the Way) they did not say and do things exactly the same….maybe they met on Wednesday or Thursday to pray and worship the Lord! Maybe they used a variety of breads for communion!

Friends, first let's also pray for the deepest, original intentions of Benedict XVI for the liturgy. First, that the present renewed Roman rite may continue to be enriched by the treasures of past liturgical heritage and vice-versa (the "harmonization" of the OF and EF as he called it once). Traditionis Custodes brings attention back to reforming the OF liturgy, rather than just focusing on the Tridentine mass. Second, as Pope Francis, Benedict, and Fr. Romano Guardini (their common inspiration) hoped for, we pray that the real treasures of the liturgical reform culminating at Vatican II may be discovered anew, "without reservations that amputate them and without arbitrariness that distorts them" as Cardinal Ratzinger has said.

I think Dr. Pitre would say that means "a lot" in the Jewish context. Or even, "all of them", but I'm not sure.

@@IloveJesusChristNowandForever Quite possible. Jesus' intent was to say He could have all the help He wanted if chose to use it, which He didn't. He simply threw out a number to illustrate that fact, I think.
