It's so sad you missed the 3 original easy capes. I got 2 of them and missed out on the Cherry Blossom one, because I wasn't playing Minecraft during that time. I think it was like a 4-day window to get it, so I don't blame myself too much. I then got all the 15th anniversary ones and the MCC cape. I remember being so excited about the Migrator cape, as it was my first one, and didn't shut up for a week with my friends. Capes being more common is nothing but a good thing.

They should make new hard challenges to earn capes for every aspect of the game So for pvp maybe a tournament For building maybe another tournament I think a bridging one could require you to cross a gap in a certain amount of time And maybe a clutching one where u have to like craft stuff midair and clutch

I could have gotten the Migrator Cape since I got Minecraft right during the migration and you could still registrate with a Mojang account, but just since I already had a Microsoft account and was not up-to-date to the migrator cape news nor even new about capes at all prior to that I went with my Microsoft account and I never got that (tbh very cool) cape. "Did you get the MCC cape" Yes, i completed all challanges the first day actually (except the cave paintings thing ofc). Ever since I got the Cherry Blossom Cape I've kinda become super dedicated to get as many capes as I can even if I don't think they 'look good' cuz its a cape! Some of my friends even jokingly called me "Cape-oholic" xD

I have the founders (bedrock only), migrator, vanilla, blossom, 15, twitch, tiktok, and mcc capes, and that's the order I got them in. you could also count the pride and pan capes but those are given to everyone no matter what on bedrock I don't think they really matter

Actually you can't get the LGBTQ+ cape anymore, I know I don't have it. I honestly would be ok with them reopening that cape for everyone if they let in other controversial capes like a Christian cape and an Islamic cape (because, having balance of expression would be nice). I have the Migrator, Vanilla, Cherry, Creeper 15th anniversary, Twitch, and TikTok capes on Java then I have the Founders and Pan cape on bedrock as well as most of the ones on Java. :D

I wasnt able to get the blossom cape, the creeper cape, the tiktok cape and the twitch cape which still annoys me to this day. I couldnt get the blossom cape as I just wasnt able to join the mobvote server even though I was on the newest version of Minecraft at the time. The button just wouldnt show up. Oh yea, some random construction workers also decided to just randomly damage the internet cable which resulted in us having no internet for 3 days straight (just wanted to mention that that happened 2 more times). I actually obtained the Twitch cape BUT on the wrong account which I didnt realize until it was to late and I also wasnt able to make another Twitch account on another E-mail thingy. I didnt even try to get the Tiktok cape as my mother didnt allow me to download Tiktok and because I was so demotivated by not getting the Twitch cape that I just didnt care. The Creeper cape was the exact same thing. This time I actually got a code but.... for some reason I couldnt type it in or it was wrong or something idk. The should make it so you just have to type the name of your Minecraft account you want the cape to be on instead of this entire microsoft acccount email stuff to make someone as dumb as me (and small kids without the help of their parents (including me again lol)) able to get the capes. Just wanted to mention that Im playing ~4 hours a day and have played over 5200 hours of Minecraft so far so the capes matter to me. And also thx for reading this entire monstrosity of a comment and going through my pain with me XD

The first cape I ever received was the 2019 10 year anniversary cape, also known as the founders cape and I have managed to get every cape they have given out since. I have every cape on bedrock but the mojang cape, and Java I have the migrator cape and every cape given out after that as well not so bad I say.

I think the mob vote should have 2 capes. 1 free one like the cherry blossom cape, and one that you have to work for, like the 15 year anniversary cape. I also think that capes that are always available but really hard to get would be cool

The only special thing about capes early cape owners lose is the phrase "I have a cape", that 2011 - 2015 era especially can never be recaptured today so their capes from that era are still special. I have access to the I think 2015 one (The piston one), but I choose to use the Migrator cape as it fits more in line with my skin. A cape that millions have but weirdly I don't see a lot of, probably because I mostly play with just me and a friend. I agree that some interactivity should be required akin to the 15th Anniversary MCC cape, it's a fine balance between just being handed a cape for doing almost nothing and just ACTUALLY PLAYING the game, which if you don't do then you're probably not THAT bothered about capes to begin with but the option is there

The first cape I got was the Migrator cape, I like it plenty because the design is easy to combine with skins. I got most of the other capes afterwards. The only one I didn't get was the mob vote one because it was a low and manipulative blow from Mojang to give out capes in such a situation.

Honestly when i first heard about the mcc cape i really wanted it but didnt want to go through the effort of getting it. i later tried getting it and found out it was incredibly easy to get. im so glad i decided to give it a try.

Out of all the 7 free capes i only had the migrator cape which I had on a rare account. It got hacked and by the time I returned to Minecraft all other 5 capes were gone. The MCC cape was the one that expired just the day before I got to know its existence

Mojang announced the release of the cape on X (Formerly Twitter) I never use X because of it being banned in my country. When I realized they had a new cape, I immediately began to search, but I found out I was 26 hours late. That goddamn cape suited my skin so much I swear to god, I'm just so sad that I couldn't get it. Thanks Mojang.

The first capes I recieved were the pan cape and the pride cape but those were bedrock capes. The first Java capes I recieved were the 15th anniversary cape, twitch cape, tiktok cape, and soon the MCC cape. I voted on the 2023 mob vote with all 3 of my bedrock accounts but I haven't gotten the cherry cape on any of them. I didn't get the cape on Java either but I didn't have Java at the time so I should at least get it on bedrock.

I bought Minecraft Bedrock way back, probably around like 2019, on my (separate) Microsoft account, but I never got the the Vanilla Cape, presumably because I was on a late migration wave that was after the cape's deadline. It really bothers me, because I think the Vanilla Cape is one of the cooler designs.

i agree that the mcc cape is the best executed one yet, and strikes a great balance. that being said, i don't think the easy capes are a bad thing because the old capes still are recognizable and special. capes in general may have not kept the same value, but the capes that had significant value still have it. it's not like they're giving out more old minecon capes now

My first ever cape was the Migrator Cape which I thought was super cool at the time. I didn't expect AS MANY people to get it as they did so it lost its charm to me. However this was ok because a little later I heard about a new cape that would only be given to players who owned both Bedrock and Java on the same Microsoft account BEFORE the price change. I already had that because I have Minecraft on literally everything the name is slapped onto lol. I finally felt justified for being the guy among my friends that gets EVERY version and EVERY game of Minecraft. Then again more people got it than I expected. The Cherry Cape was cool but to this day is the only cape I have that I just cant make clothes for my skin to match it. I then obtained all 3 of the 15 Year capes. Then I got news about this cape and the news about the Champions Cape I feel like dropped way too late for most people. I'm very in on Minecraft news and I didn't even know about it until 4 days before the end of the event that had a total of 10 days, and only on Bedrock. I think out of all the ppl I play Java MC with, me and 2 others were the only ones that got this cape because everyone else didn't know about it in time or didn't have Bedrock. So now in about a year I went from 0 capes to 7 capes xD. I wish they'd start releasing Mob Capes that aren't the damn Creeper or even do biome capes. Honestly the only cape I want now is a Copper Cape but that's just me.

Possibly, but remember that Bedrock and Java accounts are now linked. The Java capes could transfer to Bedrock maybe since Bedrock capes can transfer to Java already.

I always thought the original capes (mainly Minecon ones; the really exclusive ones are fine) were a bit unfair, because you had one opportunity to travel to an event in a country many players don’t live in for each cape. And then they gave out the newer capes, which I thought were awful, because they’re just completely free. The worst ones though are the Pan Cape and Cherry Cape, as - for the pan cape - you just got it in Bedrock as soon as the character creator menu was added, and -for the cherry cape - you just had to join a server and claim it. The three newer capes are a bit better, because they all actually look good, and require a small bit of effort (except the creeper one, but it still looks great), with the Twitch one requiring you to watch a Minecraft Twitch stream for fifteen minutes (it was about an hour for me because I’ve never used Twitch before so I spent ages trying to log in and another ages trying to find the cape and how to claim it), and the TikTok one requiring you to do… something. I couldn’t be bothered downloading TikTok for that, though the cape does look great. And the other two (migrator and vanilla capes) are also not too bad. Well maybe the migrator cape. But I do think the vanilla cape is good because people buying Minecraft now get both versions for the price of one, whereas people beforehand had to buy each individually if they wanted both, and a cape is a good reward for that in my opinion. And people didn’t actually know about the cape until they got it when the two versions started being sold together, so people wouldn’t just buy both for the sake of the cape. But finally, the perfect cape. The MCC cape. Everyone can get it, but they actually need to put genuine effort into getting it, but they don’t have to fly across the Atlantic to get it either. It’s perfect. I hope to see more like that

The problem with Hypixel is that it's a java server and noe every minecraft player has a way to play java. Hypixel sait that they will not make a bedrock server so it is unlikely for us to get Hypixel cape. May be they will do a short time bedrock server if mojang asks them to but i'm not sure about that

I was too late to get the migrator, cherry blossom, and vanilla capes. So, my first cape was the 15-year Creeper cape, then I got the TikTok and Twitch capes and just recently got the cape for MCC. I really love the way the MCC cape was done since I'm a completionist/collector so it feels like I actually earned it and it shows where I've been at the times that these were available.

i got it now it was a pain speed running it... every seconds my fps drops down to 0 and in about a bit the texture pack started to missing with the fps dropping even more! Not to mention that you couldn't see at what step you were in during every gamemode and obviusly i ended up remaining with just 1 point to get every single time! Also the fact that you have to do it on bedrock is pure pain, the movement is so bad that most of the time i couldn't do some jumps.. all that for a cape that i will not use just becouse the creeper one is better, but yes with all said in the end it was cool. (do it anytime you want Mojang, becouse our pain isn't as much as the level of our tenacity in obtaining every single cape possible.)

taking into consideration that minecraft bedrock is where they held the event, as well as it being the version that mostly gives microsoft their money with micro transactions, i can safely assume that if they were to ever add survival advancements cape, there would be a huge riot by the community for being forced to play survival on bedrock, the most buggy and crappy version of all but yeah, i like the idea so long it's not on bedrock, might actually get me to play survival in 3 years

My first cape was the Migrator cape, I have (somehow) managed to get the Vanilla cape, Cherry Blossom cape and (less impressively) all 3 15 year capes. I've also got the MCC Cape, now I'm waiting on it coming to java tomorrow.

The first cape are definitely pan cape which is the easiest among all bedrock player, and yes i got the mcc cape when the day 7 challenges release.

I missed the original 3 easy capes because I didn’t get Java until after the mob vote and it pisses me off so much that I have the cherry cape on bedrock and not Java

I also missed the migratory and vanilla capes and that made me hate capes in general, but now I'd say it's pretty good how they give them, I managed to get the mcc cape in like 3 hours and had fun

I love the idea to play on hypixel to get an Hypixel based theme because Hypixel is now the Server that I put the most hours in and everyone could say with the cape that you should leave out of the lobby lmao

I like to consider the migrator and vanilla capes in a separate group to the ones after them because those 2 had much stricter requirements for you to obtain them. I also really liked both methods of obtaining capes and im hoping that there are some participation ones and some challenge ones. Hopefully there is also a 1.21 themed cape for this years mob vote.

I was supposed to get the cherry blossom cape, but my something happened and i didnt get it (i did everything needed to but never recieved it in java nor bedrock, but i have them both on the same microsoft account and i contacted them. I did get the mcc cape and i should get it tomorrow as im writing this. I have my accounts connected so i have nothing to do but wait.

I love how Minecraft capes are becoming more and more common! I agree that the effort to get a cape way that Minecraft is going with capes is a very good idea, I love it! :D I have all 6 common capes on Java edition on my main account, I can't wait for the MCC cape to come to Java! :D

I missed out on twitch and tiktok capes, but have Migrator, 15 anniversary (creeper) and now, finally managed to get the MCC one. It was very hard for me not only because of challanges! First I had to reinstall Windows, because my current version didn't support the latest launcher (I was on the legacy). Then I finally downloaded new launcher, MC Bedrock, loaded MCC server and..... it is soooo laggy for me! Every challange was X5 time harder then it should be, every parkour took so much time, that it made me geniunly angry (and I'm usually not the one to rage on videogames) So... It was hell... But I did it... The cape didn't appear on my account yet, hope I just have to wait... Also it's funny. I really wanted a cape when I started playing Minecraft (it was 1.5) - I was into medieval stuff and had medievel - themed skins. Now, when I have 2 (and maybe 3) - I don't even wear them because they don't fit my current skin.
