I was trained to be a pet groomer, and the teachers told us that if a cat starts panting, you must stop the groom, otherwise the consequences might be too much and the cat might even die from stress, because their blood system and heart get very affected. So keep a close eye on your cat, if it keeps happening regularly, might be worth going to the vet. It might be a sign of something actually dangerous.
