Thank you. We love learning and sharing in this community too. The metal zip ties are handy but the wire fence ties are really built to last

Nice seeing the family working together to put up trellises. Makes it fun? The fruits of your collective labor will be abundant, I'm sure. Whaf kind of grapes will you plant? Are you still growing kiwis? Kiwis n strawberries n passion fruit are delicious on Pavlovas.
@EssayonsFG Жыл бұрын
Thank you. It is usually more fun together if not always faster showing the kids what to do. We have merlot, concord, chardonnay and Niagara, if my memory serves me right. Yes, we are still growing kiwi but have to build a sturdier trellis for them.

Thanks Tony. Will keep him in my prayers for a safe deployment and return. After two turns in the desert, I can relate but think it will make an already fine young man, an even better man for the experience it gives him being exposed to more of the world. God bless you and all of the family.

@EssayonsFG Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for watching. I thought about growing on the fence too but read the weight could damage the fence over time. Plus we had poison ivy everywhere. LOL

Hate ticks! Deer ticks in the Maine woods can be overwhelming. Too bad the grape vine got pulled out last year Rob, but your near term plans look like you’ll be replacing that one. Good luck. Take care.
@EssayonsFG Жыл бұрын
Thanks Henry. We hate ticks too but they are a huge problem in our area. The grape vines were doing well until our mower went kaput and the weeds took over. We'll get more growing though. Have a wonderful day!

Ticks are annoying. Everything is green and beautiful. Spring is here. Cattle panel is very durable. We have it on our property. We would love to grow grapes. We don't think they would do well in our climate. It's good to see the family work together. Love the Vet Bod Tshirt. We look forward to watching you guys build out the new gardening area. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the rest of your day
@EssayonsFG Жыл бұрын
Yes they are and a huge problem in rural Virginia. We have animals everywhere carrying them. There are some grape varieties that do well in warmer climates like the Thompson Grape. There are quite a few wineries in West Texas, I've read. We try to work at a minimum in pairs, as the military ingrained in me the importance of the buddy system. We don't even go outside to pull weeds without letting a buddy know. LOL Vet Bod is real but I bet it feels a lot like WNBA Hall of Famer Bod. 😂 Have a blessed week, my friends.
