In every reaction to this video, people ask - what is this? Is it rap? And that's what I love so much about 90's music and what I miss today - people just took the best of all styles, mixed it up and got great songs. The same band could rap in one song, play heavy groove-metal in another, in the third they had techno or straight pop mixed with punk-rock. And sometimes it was all in one song. At one gig you could see dudes who looked like cholo gangsters rocking out next to goth kids.

I don’t know. I love BHG, I saw them live and I grew up near near them (which I found out after seeing an obscure local reference in the liner notes to their first album which made me look up more). I’m a fan but in America they were basically two hit wonders (this and Fire Water Burn) Which is a crime because they’re great and have some genuinely witty lyrics (albeit juvenile)

As a white British guy in his late 30s, I can confirm that The Bloodhound Gang were fucking savage! They covered a few genres of music, which varied album to album really. Kinda like a Rap/Punk/Electro mix. I think this was from their third and probably most successful album.

Gods yes. So much fun! There was a Fantastic nightclub next door to a pavilion and park by the river where I grew up, They put speakers outside in the summers so underage kids could chill out in the park and party. it lasted 2 years, then the MOTHERS bullshit rolled through and started all the bullshit baby reforms so all the useless kids could get their participation awards and whatnot. and so there went the coolest outdoor free club, and every other thing teens could go to have fun. But, dancing out there to Blue with the glowsticks with like 300 other kids on the riverwalk was a friday night event! Too bad my kids will never get to do that kind of thing..
