The fuel truck that delivers it to my town, the transports that bring food to my town, require the same amount of gas they always did I need the same amount of food as previous for my family. Only I pay more. I receive no rebate. There is no "incentive" to how much fuel and food the average person requires to function. So the tax cleans 0% of the environment and harms 100% of the people.

They make the economy worst because the economy is only a consequence of their policies for us which in turn makes them even more than they already should because of the money they force from everyday Canadians with the tax hikes. Their policy doesn’t apply to themselves, they can use private jets to go wherever whenever, especially vacation. Marked vehicles are still required to use gas and that’s for a reason. There is no reduction in carbon emissions. Everywhere I need to go every week has not moved closer to my home. All the household items I will buy are still in the same stores and all of that takes fuel. As far as I and the rest of Canada sees it, the tax just takes our money and does nothing. Sure you give a portion back but you have detailed in no way what the money left over is providing. You, a former teacher of all people, should be able to tell us, in understandable terms and great detail, what that money is for and how it works towards improving the climate. Or are you just going to keep on using up perfectly good air saying nothing.
