The person that said "I know the city wanna make some money" Its not about making money, its about keeping other road users safe ! we all make mistakes but sometimes we have to pay for our mistakes So we learn life's lessons
@brch24 жыл бұрын
Haven't got to that part yet, so don't know what that person got a ticket for... but, quite a large number of tickets he deals with are parking tickets (in many cases, where they can get parking permits for $100 a year). Those are not about safety at all, those are about money mostly. And there's one or two roads he mentions the speed limit being 25 mph, but he knows people travel 35-40 regularly. That's very probably more about money than safety. All in all, most of the tickets he deals with seem to be about money, not safety. (Edit: OK, after watching, IF he ran a red light, that's a safety concern. IF, since there's no video and only a cop's word on it, which may or may not be worth something, depending on the cop).

I love this , In the Uk they squeeze every penny they can and put penalty's on and even waste your time because the staff , at the council take you to court for not paying council tax , when in fact they owe you £250.00 pounds, and do not apologise for their actions. but I also note that there is a police car on a bend with a walkway to cross the street in what I would class here in the UK as dangerous, we have no parking zig zag lines on either side of the crossing so that more room is allowed to be able to see the crossing better and that is a no parking zone whats the law there on this I wonder ?????

I seriously wish they were more judges like him all over the US. Maybe there are and we just don't know about them, but this guy seems so reasonable and he has a heart and obviously makes decisions with it. He knows that sometimes people just make mistakes and need a second chance even if they are just mostly minor traffic violations, they still jack up your insurance rates and you get a hefty fine for a lot of these, which he prevents from happening 4 many people. I know that parking tickets don't get you points on your insurance, at least in my state which is Massachusetts, I'm not sure if it's like that in every state, but the speeding tickets and red lights would get you points on your license and make your insurance go up. It's nice to have someone who cuts people a break like he does.
