Oh wow! A few years ago I got gout for the first (and last) time. I googled “foods that help with gout”, and it said coffee and cherries break down the excess Uris acid. So, I love cherries and am ok with coffee, and it worked like a charm. But what also happened-unexpectedly-is I dropped a 6 pounds in that 2 week period (only weigh in every two weeks).

Someone like you Dhru should invite several experts and have a honest debate over the controversial topics. Those expert have so contradictory opinions. No grain vs whole grain. Vegan vs carnivore. ProKeto vs antiKeto. High protein vs low protein. I am only here to name a few important controversies. The point here is not to only let everyone pick their own, but deliver more clear pros and cons because every experts are biased and tends to avoid weaknesses of the style they support.

I was eating beef and chicken liver for the iron benefit since my ferritin was low....My uric acid has been high. How much liver can I have to take care of my low ferritin and not affect my uric acid which I am hoping to lower. Already abstaining all the bad stuff you mention. Started allopurinol....will that be enough to lower my uric acid. Have not had a flare for 12 years when I had my first and only gout attack. But crystals were found in my toes when I had surgery.

Just my opinion from studying health for 55 years. Unless it's organic, grassfed liver I wouldn't go near that stuff. And even then it's removing toxins from the blood. Yuck.

Evolution makes absolutely no sense. We crawled out of the ocean as an invertebrate and somehow spontaneously became apes that spontaneously became humans. The biological systems of ocean invertebrates are not what we have today in human anatomy. It's not even close. There is a huge amount of evidence supporting intelligent design. Our body systems are incredibly complex. Our mitochondria produce light. There's 97 plus things that control our appetite and satiety. We have a man writing a book about uric acid. That's one substance within the body...ONE. and, how many things does that effect? No intelligent design there, eh. Here's my question...if evolution is truth, then why do we have ZERO bacteria turning into ocean invertebrates that then turn into apes that then turn into humans? We got to human and evolution just stopped??? The fossil record doesn't support it. There are no half ape/ half humans roaming around. Where is the evidence to back up the theory they are teaching all of our medical professionals? It's grossly negligent to teach things that have no scientific foundation or evidence.
