Although, I have done the extended fasting for about a year, it does not seem to work for me. I need to eat more often or I get sick and foggy. Any suggestions ?

I’ve fasted many times over the past 6 1/2 years, not by choice, but dealing with stage 4 colon cancer and it’s made a huge positive difference. Totally, I “listen” to my body on everything that goes in my mouth, how I feel, how long it stayed in my body, cramps, how it exits , or violently coming back up. I do have an ostomy, totally freaked at first, my kids were devastated over this. LOL, I told them “I’ll never have poop strikes in my undies “…I have boys;). Now I’m comfortable with it, have a two piece system where I can take the bag off, leave the “sticker” part on and use the toilet and that makes me feel “”normal”. On vacation I wear a cap ostomy supply, about a three inch flat cover when wearing a bikini and my daughter is very proud and I still feel sexy😱🥰. Thank you for a wonder video! I need to watch it a few times, lots of great info. I believe my cancer came about due to stress…I garden now and am in the best shape in my life at 56. I was a hard core junk food addict my whole life. (I’m 70 now.). I developed agonizing osteoarthritis in my hips and had to use a cane to walk. I was in pain all the time. 6 weeks ago I had a very lost weekend of eating tons of fast food. I was so bloated afterwards I looked online to see how I could get rid of the bloat quickly & the keto diet seemed like a good bet. So i decided to try it for a couple of weeks. Not only did it quickly remove the bloat but to my utter amazement, ALL my hip pain disappeared!! I put my cane away & I haven’t touched junk food or fast food since. Back around October, my gut would hurt, when eating. I was suffering from severe lethargy, pretty much all last year. I'd been following guys like Dr. Berg and Thomas DeLauer, for a long time, so I began to incorporate different forms of fasting, It wasn't until I watched several of Dr. Pradip's videos that I finally felt equipped with the right knowledge. This January, I cut out all snacking and started skipping meals. On the 20th, I began to do a mix of OMAD, 20:4, 16:8... but also have been doing healthy keto. - I'm down 12 lbs, already. Not only am I "ready" to sleep, when it's time, I typically sleep through the night. I wake refreshed. My hunger is down... I'll often eat just because I don't want my metabolism to suffer. I'm back to working out (mostly fasted and pretty intense.) My neck stiffness is gone... my lower back doesn't hurt (I'd say 95% decrease in discomfort... and only a little sore after a long day of work.) My optimism and energy is through the roof. Last Saturday, I felt like the world had "color", for the first time since I can remember. - I just put on two shirts that I bought, last fall. They fit, perfectly, whereas before they were choking me and hugging my moobs (which are quickly shrinking.) - I never got checked out, but I assume it was fatty liver... maybe the onset of liver disease (I love the heavy, high-abv craft beers), ... and I'm guessing it was drastically affecting my pancreas, gall bladder and heart. My breathing had been strained/short. It's all gone... and just in three weeks. Three. Weeks. - I can't imagine returning to my previous habits, but I'll definitely be on guard: "As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly." (Prov. 26:11). I'm all about human history... and Dr. Pradip has brought the genetic reality of our bodies and nutrition to an absolute point. Thank you! (addendum: I'm also taking D3/K2, Magnesium Malate, Cod liver oil, lecithin, Vitamins E, B1, C complex, Trace minerals, potassium and nutritional yeast [also daily electrolytes and Himalayan salt]... Though, I don't take them, everyday. - I feel like I can "hear" my body, better.)

I am 80 and have been gaining weight, adding visseral fat around my belly, uncomfortable tieing my shoes, putting on socks, bending over to reach the floor, changes in bowel movements, lethargy and overall feeling that I am going down hill. I stumbled across Dr. J a few days ago and I believe this is my first step towards recovery. I indeed was a junkie. I have cut out all junk food and snacking. I was continually hungry, no matter how many times a day I ate. Right now, I am getting close to finishing my first ever, 16 hour fast. That may be laughable to some but to me, it is my first step on this journey. I love Dr. I’d direct, historical, scientific and even sometimes funny approach to health. I wish I lived near Orlando but I will listen and search for all things Jamnadas. Thanks to others that have commented and given me encouragement. 😊

I do a 7 day water fast now, the 1st of each month. After experiencing a 21 day fast. I used ketone urine strips, to help understand the effects of water, tea, and coffee on my body. Day 1 and 2, is the hardest. Even my body oder smelled like food, 😂. Day 3, is better. Sleeping less because, i previously used digestion to help me sleep. Day 4, never even thought about food 👍. Day 5, was the day of Miricles! Sugar was gone from my body (lower insulin). So, inflammation was also gone (swelling)! Which relieved all my pain from joints and surgeries. My skin began to shine, it was glowing. Tho, my energy levels had changed. I was fine untill i tried to do heavy activity 😅. So, avoid running 🏃♂️ or lifting heavy equipment. Now my weight was decreasing fast. Day 6, My weight started peeling off. Seeing people stuff food in their faces, made me sick. It was discussing to me. Day 7, i realized the true benefits of fasting had just started day 5 and i was afraid to break fast. My eczema began to clear up. Remembering Dreams. Day 8, i was down a complete pant size. Was loosing 3 to 5 pounds a day, depending on my activity. I recommend a morning workout, no weights. Only, leg lifts standing and laying down. Light stationery jogging in place. This will cause you to wake up noticeably thinner, each morning and help with sleeping. When breaking fast i had soup and salad for a couple days. Then I went to red Lobster 🦞. Avoid rice, bread and pasta. You dont wanna tell your metabolism to begin storing fat again. Stick to meat, nuts and vegetables. Do not over do fruit. Fruit is also sugar 👍. Replace Sugar with Honey 🍯 😋. I went from 240 to 184 bls in 21 days.my body fat went from 32 to 14.

I have fasted over the years due to circumstances, whereby I couldn't eat, then, got used to it, and simply didn't want to eat. I am 53 and the oldest I've ever been called is 42, which admittedly has occurred recently. People have usually believed I'm at least 15 years younger. There's a lot to be said for controlling food intake. Sugar has been the vice that's ruined the perfection of fasting. If my beard was dark, nobody would think I was even 40. There's not much we can do about hair colour once stress has hit. Stress has seriously impacted my physiology. Good luck with your dirt and health plans, everyone.

It also often takes a week for them to go to Ketosis. * I am excited about Dr. Pradip teaching people to do a zero carb fast that can put someone on Keto in about 36 hours. It has helped me a lot. * Also like that Dr. Pradip recommends a diet closer to the way God created things to be.

When your body is only burning sugar as fuel, it is very hard to fast, your insulin level will drop and your body don’t know how to access and burn fat, because all your life you Burned sugar as fuel. Please don’t combine fasting with BP. Fasting brings down BP on its own. Taking a BP pill on top of this will bring it down even further. Recommendation is to skip BP/diabetic pills when fasting. Kindly coordinate with your doc before stopping such medication.
