I have a 2017 Honda accord and the “check charging system is on, I have a new battery, new alternator and the sensor is from Amazon but I still have the “check charging system on, I been driving the car for almost a year but the sign wouldn’t go away, idek what should I look for next, someone told me to remove the “ check charge system sign” from the dash from Honda dealer

How do we check the battery voltage sensor?

There should be battery voltage on both wires. I had one today with 12 volts on the white wire and 10 volts on the green wire. It was pinched by the upper rad support. Fixed the wire and the car was charging again

That is my issue with this Honda, I would like to see your videos on how to do the recommendations. I am a woman trying to Do it. Myself. I am faced with this problem now. So I will try to take it out and the alternator out to get it tested or get a tester. Any recommendations? Now I need a video on how to and what tools to do that much. 😂 Thank you for the patient explanation.

I just had a battery die and had Advanced Auto Parts install a new one. This message come up on my dahsboard now in my Honda Fit LX 2018. I don't know if I just give it some time, or if I need to get it checked out somewhere.

Someone told me to take it to Honda and remove the sign on the dash, will cost you probably around 30-40$

Had this come on last night. I was shocked to find the alternator I had put in a year and a half ago not only gave up but completely died Anyone having a similar issue, don't go with CarQuest for a replacement. I put in a NAPA alternator and so far it's doing just fine, but I'm hoping I won't have to warranty it

2013 Honda Pilot... Lost power to windows up front as well as GPS display and radio. 2 back windows work but very slowly. Everything worked fine and out of nowhere the sign started then a few days ago. Window, GPS and radio started today!

ELD (Electronic Load Detector). Inside the fuse box under the hood. Replace it, but Check for blown fuses first!!!

If the alternator has the right voltage output the only thing left would be the wiring and possibly the ECM.

Did the same thing yesterday. Car ('16 Civic LX) no longer dies but the check charge system still pops up with good voltage all around, and working relays and fuses. Reset many times also. Thinking of replacing PCM 1st, before ECM.

The damn issues with the 2012-2018 maybe more accords is so bad. My shi* lights up like a Christmas tree one day and the next its fine. It stalls and abs, traction control, power steering, battery everything on the dash go on. The dealer unless because it never happens when they "test drive it" and it doesn't throw codes. No recalls although everyone on the internet has similar issues. Ridiculous!

@@Laidtorest69 I suspect it may be the alternator. I've just now started putting a voltage meter on it and it cuts out offten. I believe this has been what is causing me to have to get a new battery every 2 years. Since it is being drained to an unsafe voltage to offten. When the battery is about to die the power steering gets stiff that's my signal to pull off the road. Then the lights go on and car stalls. To get it going I need to jump it a couple times. Once the alternator kicks back to its usual 14v it's like nothing happened. Now for my list of solutions first was the battery sensor then battery still nothing next is my alternator with fingers crossed 🤞 if none of this works I've seen some people say it can be the ABS control module. However since that's a $1,000+ job unless you get the rebuild from ebay. I'm not ready for that yet. I hope some of this helps. Just start with the cheapest things you suspect and work your way up.

I get the message with my 2016 Accord nd the dirtbag dealerships refuse to help. I doubt I'll be buying another Honda. It's a SAFETY recall. Yeah eat me Honda. The part is $36.

Never get your alternator checked were you dont know the person, learn how easy it is to do it yourself.

Basically check the horn fuse under the hood. If it’s blown replace it, problem solved.

My alarm was going off every time and I had to remove the fuse related to the horn. After I removed it this message popped up in the panel!!
