I was diagnosed with Alopecia areata when I was about 8 or 9. I remember how scared me and my family were. I went for treatment, I don't know what treatment it was, but I remember screaming in pain. Minoxidil is usually used as a first line treatment. It’s a topicsl spray which can be used once or twice daily. But consult first with a dermatologist. Shampoos which are also paraben-free, sulfate-free and has biotin is also recommended. And supplements specifically for hair/nails/skin can also be taken. Diet is also important. Yeah my brother just went through this. We thought that it was just our dad's genes and that he just started to go bald but then it hit the sides and we were freaking out. He then told us not to freak out and he then shaved his hair off to see how bad it is and maybe fix it hopefully. It's hard for the us who wasn't suffering from it. But maybe harder for my brother and he did an awesome job hiding the stress it brought. He's better now but still shaves his head. He got used to it and says he likes it better. Which got me to shave my head and I like it better too. It would suck if we were to go bald at a younger age. But we're kinda expecting it and wouldn't really matter to us. But spot balding is really really really bad. Male pattern baldness is genetic and going no guard sorta shows confidence but alopecia areata makes you look like someone who's sick. It sorta killed my brother's confidence back then. Not because he was losing hair. But because it made him look sick. He's a proud man and doesn't like people to pity him.

Take your vitamin D along with getting at least 30 minutes of sun everyday. And manage your stress! Go to church and read your Bible every morning. Exercise and yoga. Cut out carbs and sugar. And grow my hair long to my shoulder. From my experience i suggest the derma roller worked for me . And daily massaging that allopecia effected part with any kind of oil of ur choice. I dont know to what extent this will work on other people. But for me it worked
